So everyone thinks it's between Farrell and Bergeron going to gone? IMO i think Farrell who be better of in Jr.A for a year a setup from Midget and a step below Q and it would be better of his development. He is only 5'6 and at the most 160 lbs? What's the rush to get him to play this year and a team that's gonna struggle? 16 yr olds are not guaranteed playing time in Jr a. Those teams can have as many as 9 20 year old players and quality icetime for 16 year olds can be hard to come by. There are exceptions for exceptional players, Darcy Ashley for example was a big part of Summersides team last year. If Farrel was cut, his decision to got to Jr A would depend on which program had his rights, some are better than others. He would certainly light it up with the tradesmen this year, especially playing with Michael Lyle, probably would win the scoring title again.

Also I heard Lyle is headed to Salisbury Prep School...but he may have changed his plans.

Just saying the Eagles will just have to pay attention to who has his Jr A rights to make sure he doesnt get put in a bad sitaution. Good chance they keep him anyway.

He is heading back to tradesman

I like the decision. I wouldn't want him to be rushed and end up being a Logan Shaw. Not necessarily a knock again Shaw. He's a good kid. Lot of heart. Just hasn't put up the numbers I expected from him.

If Mario sticks to the plan of Kyle practicing twice a week with the Eagles and playing a handful of games especially before Christmas this may work out very well for both Kyle and the Eagles.
Kyle will get a ton of ice time with the Tradesmen and get to develop his offensive skills and confidence even more, get to practice regularly with the Eagles and then get to measure himself in some Q games (IF promises are kept!). Like Mario said recently, some veterans have until Christmas to show hoped for improvement so there may be roster changes at Christmas. I don't think this young man needs any extra motivation but he's certainly been given it!

Best of both worlds with this move....you keep a close eye on the player and his development and he plays a lot of ice time in midget for half the year until the roster is shaken up at Christmas and a spot opens up.

Side note:
Hrabarenka practiced for the first time with the team yesterday as well.
Kind of sad I didn't get to see him in any pre-season games, although, gives me something to look forward to on opening night.

Not a bad lineup for a rebuilding team...
How was Lacerte so far?
