The Halifax Mooseheads trimmed their roster to 26 on Monday by cutting five more players. www.metronews.ca/halifax/blog/post/615752[Mod Edit] - Removed content due to copy and pasting from a news organization. Provided link.

Warner is greasy and dirty and im not saying that in a bad way. He chirps, yaps, gets under peoples skin. Davis is more of a physical presense....he racked up the PIM's in AAA last year but he rarely threw a dirty hit. He was just much stronger than everyone else and was called for a few 'hits to the head' which come with an auto 10-min misconduct, which count towards your PIM totals.

I like Carcillo but the Flyers had to lose a guy like Asham who had legitimate fighting skills and a bit of offensive skill. In my opinion Warner is a waste of a roster spot on this team. I would also cut MacDonald as well.

Warner is what he is....a 4th line energy guy who will give you an honest effort. I wouldnt be so quick to cut MacDonald...he has had a good camp, but him being 18 hurts him, but at the same time he can do a lot to help the team...and despite being 18, he lacks experience as he didnt play much at 16 and 17.

Maybe Macdonald could become a shutdown guy even though I imagine he probably wouldnt care for being pigeonholed like that.

Keep MacDonald - dump Warner! Its not an either or decision....Warner will probably be the last cut up front and be an AP. MacDonald's situation is up in the air...if he is kept an Frk joins the team, Halifax is up to 15 forwards and with Boudreau/Souligny/Turbide/Ryan assured of spots, MacDonald is the only forward in limbo.

Warner a 12th round pick and still there. Warner 4 fights in 24 hours,5 fights in five days. What he lacks in size makes up in heart. Chirps ... Yes seem to be his game.... and seems to do it well. Came to camp as a underdog and knowing he had to do these things to have any chance of making this team. Come on we know he is not there for his goal scoring abilities, he is a role player and I think he can play the role,Cam must see something in him. Hell I like what he brings to the team, got me out of me seat a few times and oh Baby he got you guys talkin. Way to go Warner I hope you make it.

Im a big fan of Warner has well. Every team needs a player like him. Hes non stop yaping and in your face the whole game. his skating will improve and he will become a P.J. Stock kinda player. just a little bigger.

No big surprises in the cuts today. Of all the guys, I liked what I saw in Desmond. I only saw him once, but he was a good skater with good hockey sense. You could tell he was an offensive guy in midget.
I knew McGuigan was in tough to make the squad this year, but I still like his game. He's never going to amount to anything more then a 4th liner, but he fit the role. The guy could hit, period. However, being 18, and with Warner having a good camp, and Davis in the fold, there just wasn't room for him. I wish him well in Jr. A.
Glad to see Ryan and Desmarais make the team. They were high draft picks, but I don't think they were hand fed a spot. They both played well, and both showed great potential. The only thing that concerns me is the ice time factor. If they are going to be on the team, I want them to play. I was a Patenaude fan, but I do not want to see top young talent sitting in the press box 5 out of 6 games. Either they play regularily or at least semi-regularily or they get sent down. Cam kept them, so hopefully he gives them ice time. It sure would be nice to go into next years camp knowing both Ryan and Desmarais have 40-50 games in the Q. Their development is important to this team.

The plan could be to keep Desmarais around while Abeltshauser and Hannay are off to NHL camps before sending him back to midget?

I would say that could be the reason why he is still here; after Konrad and Sawyer get back then Simon can be sent back to midget which leaves Lewis and Bishop to fight for the #6 spot and we still have Desmond and Kavanaugh here as affiliates if needed for injury replacements during homestands and we still have Simon up there in Quebec if need be.

Simon is better than both Lewis and Bishop. Lewis and Bishop are more likely to be fighting for the 7th spot.
