Heard that Legace will be going to Rimouski if he returns to the Q. He wouldn't be traded at X mas but much earlier because he is a 20. Obrien's name was mentioned along with a D at the draft. I know this is early but what if he does come back? Do we still owe CHI another pick?

Personally I think Rimouski would be better off adding Delmas at this point they really need a goaltender.

I thought if Lagace returned that you had to send a 1st round pick back to Chicoutimi.

Interesting situation if Lagace returns to the Q.
The Eagles as far as I know have to give another 1st to Chicoutimi.
The question is, would it be good for the Eagles if he comes back? Given how he finished the year last year... would the return from Rimouski (or any other team) be worth more than the 1st?

The Eagles have to give a 2nd if he returns, not a 1st.

CB is best giving ice time to the kids instead of trying to make the team better this year by adding a guy who completely didn't work out last season. If Art Vandelay is right and it's a 2nd we lose to Chicoutimi, not a 1st, that's a bit less painful. This might be an embarrassing thing not to know, but do we still have to pay the Sags the pick if Lagace returns to the Q but doesn't play a game for the Eagles? If they trade his rights, right away? Of course it's a "cross that bridge when we come to it" situation.

Of course. The usual terms are based on him playing in the league, the team doesn't matter. If it did, every GM would abuse it and trade all such players before they ever played a game for his team.

The Eagles have to give a 2nd if he returns, not a 1st. And it would have to be a 2012 pick because we don't have a 2011 1st or 2nd right now. IMO both player and team want nothing to do with each other anyway so moving him right away would be no shock and hopefully brings back a useful asset or 2 considering we traded like 5 to get him

he'll probably be in Portland this season. Didn't look at all ready for the pro game last season.... was a small, perimeter guy who didn't deal especially well with the physical game. But we'll see.

he'll probably be in Portland this season. I agree with Deer, he did not remotely look close last year to being pro ready. Maybe things have changed in the off season who knows. I hope he doesn't come back. Unless the Eagles trade him and get some assets. What do people think we could get for him if he is indeed returned to the Q?

He did score 30 in 35 games with Chicoutimi before the trade. That would show he is ready for the pro game, though he never fit in in CB for whatever reason.

Let us count the ways : - he played with an unselfish pass first centre named David Decharnais , then he came here and played with the exact opposite ..........Luke Adam . - he played on a team where he was on the "only" line that could put up points . So he drew all the Power Play Time , Penalty Kill , "all" the favourable matchups . - he went from playing for a very motivational coach to our Mario...................that alone is enough to go in the toilet !

Yup, it helped that he played the first half with a 23-year old.

Who is David Descharnais, I don't see a Sags player by that name...
