Interesting stat. After his first game, Huberdeau was the leading scorer on both his junior team and his NHL team. Kind of along the same lines. Erik Karlsson could be the leading scoring defenceman in two leagues this year. Way to jinx him. Cut by cooke's skate tonight and it didn't look good

Huberdeau missed another shootout attempt last night. I believe that is 4 or 5 in a row including a penalty shot. I haven't seen any of them. I wonder if he's been using his usual move a few too many times.

Huburdeau may not match last seasons point total if he doesn't wake up soon
sophomore slump?

Huburdeau may not match last seasons point total if he doesn't wake up soon sophomore slump? Yeah I think it's a bit of that, and some hard luck/bad bounces thus far. Sophomore slump plus that hip surgery plus not playing all that great himself plus the fact that Florida as a team is brutal. He's basically struggling, not getting any good bounces to help him get going, and doesn't have the type of teammates that are good enough to allow you to put up numbers still while struggling a bit yourself. My take on it anyway.

wow this kid is really struggling offensively went from 31 points in a shortened rookie season.. to 28 last year to just 2 so far this year Yeah crazy... he has such good overall skill and hockey sense. To do what he did as a rookie, and then not build on that over 2 years so far is strange.

wow this kid is really struggling offensively went from 31 points in a shortened rookie season.. to 28 last year to just 2 so far this year The lock out year gave young CHL and AHL players a big edge over a lot of NHLers that sat out. That's definitely part of it, plus 2 years ago he was more insulated and not expected to carry a big load so he'd be getting easier matchups like McKinnon last year.
