Is there any truth to the rumour that Lalonde is leaving, not being happy with the money paid out to 20yr olds at $150 down from $400+ish. I've heard that he's going to Calgary's camp and isn't coming back that he'll turn pro somewhere(?) and is very pissed? Zero truth behind this. It's the first I heard but I can guarantee you it's not the case. He'll finish his junior year a Wildcat and captain the team. Who knows, my source is very close to the situation.

I guess they are down to 14 F, Jacob to Commandos. Where did you here this, I heard he wanted to go back to the Flyers? I find it crazy that all 17 year olds at Commandos camp were forced to go back to the Flyers or lose their spot, that's crazy, kids trying to play at a higher level and getting shafted...ridiculous. I think guys that have 2 years MAAA should be in Jr.A if they are to play in the Q 2nd half or next year.

Checking the Commando website, they have Jacob listed on their roster, when Kyle Ward was released by Saint John (Commandos own his rights) and he went straight to the Flyers, there was no mention of him anywhere surrounding the Commandos so it looks as though Jacob may be reporting to the Commandos, time will tell. While I agree in principal with giving 17 year olds a chance to develop at a higher calibre the problem is Junior A is not a developmental league, good for the fans, bad for the 17 year olds, there just isn't any room when you have 7 - 20 year olds (1 is a goalie) and 8 -19 year olds (I believe).

Most Jr.A teams don't carry 7 20 year olds. In recent years teams that have won have had a lot of younger(17-18 year old) players like Truro last year. Not the days of the Olands Exports where there were all 19-20 year olds. I think a 17 year old that's played midget at 15 and 16 is better off in Jr.A even if it's a bottom 6 role. Guys like Conrad and Alward would be regulars on the Commandos.

I'm surprised Jacob didn't stick with the Cats. The guys ahead of him must be pretty damn good....last year when called up at 16 he never looked out of place. Loved his speed and natural hockey sense. He'll be a Cat soon enough though, and a good one. Best of luck to him.

OHL cast offs? or overlooked undrafted FA's Not sure, it just says they need to pass OHL waivers so they are either cut OHLers or were on protected lists. It also hints that they are talking trade for Tassi, Hodge had brought it up a week ago and this time Paquette in AN so a lot of smoke...maybe Shannon is waiting for BBA to drop their price. Maybe a 3rd or a good but not great prospect?

May be a case where a deal is basically done, just waiting for all hands to be back on deck.

Not sure about the others Walcott is a NYR pick so logically Tassi could replace him for a few games on defense.

If there's a deal in place I don't really see why they would hold off and have him risk injury by playing a couple games. My guess would be that they're still working on something.

Agree, if I was GM I wouldn't risk a deal falling apart for 2-3 games. Especially if I was getting back a pretty good asset.

@monctonwildcats Wildcats added free agent defenceman Brandon Lukezic, 18, today. 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds. Saginaw OHL 5th round draft pick. Never played in the O tho, Hodge now saying tesink or Mann's place now in jeopardy. www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=216807
