Bit of a head-scratcher that Worthen will be up. We have plenty of defensemen for the weekend, its forwards we'll be missing. Somebody is moving to forward I guess?

Hardie and one of the Fitzgerald's are apparantly injured.
So that would leave 5 healthy D and Worthen makes it 6.

Local kid is Shane Bowers, a center, but the one I've been hearing about for the last year and a half is Mathieu Charlebois, a D, and is considered by scouts to be better at the same age than Jeremy Roy who currently plays for Sherbrooke. I alluded to it earlier but if the wheels do fall off for the Mooseheads this fall while it will suck from the standpoint of what fans have been treated to the last three years it may be the best thing that could happen from a long term point of view for the franchise. Taking a huge half year hit by trading away what is in demand by teams looking to go for it this year will really help the Mooseheads going forward with getting 16s-17s-18s (18s as futures of course) along with high picks later on in 2016 and 2017 perhaps and we could have a team in 3-4 years that could win the league albeit not quite as easily as in 2013.

From what I've seen, I'd finish out of the playoffs for a Jeremy Roy type player. That kid is a beast.

Wrong Roy- Jeremy plays for Sherbrooke, Nicolas plays for the Sags.... now that sticky tongue icon may imply sarcasm... I don't know as I am like Sheldon Cooper and need a sarcasm sign held up to recognize it.

And I know you're joking, but I wouldn't tank for him. He's not the type of player that wins you a championship, IMO. I could be wrong but from my limited viewing of him, he's not a generational talent.

An interesting little tidbit:
We have 24 players listed on our roster on the Q site: Of those 24:
- 7 are from Quebec - 5 are from Nova Scotia (All from HRM) - 4 are from the USA - 3 are from Ontario - 2 are from New Brunswick - 2 are from Europe - 1 is from Newfoundland
Only 7 of 24 from Quebec seems like an oddity. Hasn't been a recipe for success before. But I like that it's a diverse group.

Quebec isn't quite the hotbed of talent it used to be, and the Maritimes have improved in the last couple years. Not overly surprising to see fewer Quebec players than years ago.
Not to mention the best of the Quebec players go in the first round, sadly we've been out of that loop for a while. We've kind of made up for it with exceptional free agents from Ontario tho.

Hasn't been a recipe for success before. But I like that it's a diverse group. Ya we'd have to go way back to find a roster with relatively few Quebec players....I went through the recent league champs and had to go all the way back to 2013 Moose had 23 players appear in at least 1 playoff game that year: - 9 from Quebec (counting Lovell (5 gp) and Alcade (2 gp) - 5 from NS - 2 from PEI - 2 from Europe - 2 from NFLD (including Chrs Clarke) - 2 from Ontario (including Max Lindsay) - 1 from NB Of the 19 regulars, we had 7 from Quebec, 5 NS, 2 PEI, 2 Europe, 1 NFLD, 1 Ont, and 1 NB Similar make up I would say....that team did decently P.S. before anyone goes off their rocker, I know this team is not to be compared to that team....just wanted to point out to reesor that you can win without many Quebecers

Gadoury will be back for Fridays game. He was cut by the Habs for failing his medical.
