PEI was not going to trade with us. For a late 1st or early 2nd I think Islanders would have let him go to eagles which would have been better value since Eric Brassard should be around next year too, I would bet QUEBEC CAN recover what they paid after this run I bet we offered you our third and our fifth.

good pick up in Colby Muise. He isn't in that top class but still a solid midget goalie.

It'll be interesting to see what Americans Dumont targets. He seems to be a good salesman.

Saint John takes Blade Mann-Dixon. So talented but so small.

Evan Millman. 16yo, 6'1, 186lbs. Defenseman.
Must be tough like his brother. 86 PIM in 32 games in a league with no fighting. Nice to see them draft a solidly sized, tough, presumably defensive defenseman. Thats my kind of player

Millman didn't even make his major midget team last year. He has to be another fighter.

2 picks left, both have to be Americans.

Honestly really happy with what Dumont has done so far this draft. I think the Brassard deal was a really good move. Just would be nice to land a solid 19 Dman.

Dubois was excited to be picked by Cape Breton and can’t wait to get to training camp. He was also thrilled to see his best friend, forward Samuel L’Italien, chosen by Cape Breton in the second round. The two have played hockey together for the past five years. “I’m a power forward, play an intense game. I like to go the net, I can score and I can pass the puck, but I like to play physical too,” he said. “I’m a complete player. “I think I can make the team next year. It’s always up to training camp and the coaches and what they want me to do. I’ll train really hard and put all the chances on my side.” www.capebretonpost.com/Sports/Hockey/2014-05-31/article-3745753/UPDATED%3A-Balmas-selected-by-Charlottetown-Islanders-in-QMJHL-draft/1

I see a trend here that I am liking a lot here.
Dumont is drafting connections.
Lazarev and Svenchikov were both good friends from Russia.
Dubois and L'Italien good friends.
The two Dmen Corbeil and Beaudin both played for the same team.
Not only does this help in getting that player to report and stay happy but this can also equate to some instant chemistry.
