Sure ... but innocent until proven guilty still holds true. So the team stands with him until it is proven that he broke the law and team rules ... and then you release him into the care of his parents. The league also has substance abuse rules that may give the Mooseheads no choice but to release him. But there is also this issue ... the Mooseheads have no business whatsoever knowing what is going on as this is a criminal matter between Vuic and his lawyer ... and the Police and Prosecutor. For Vuic to tell them what is going on could jeopardize his defense ... and he certainly won't talk to the media. The Mooseheads also have zero right to inform the media what is going on. All they can talk about is his involvement with the team. Are they not the exact scenarios where journalists are taught to use their best investigative talents to uncover the story for the public? Nobody is really criticizing the team as we all agree their keeping quiet is to be expected. Same can't and shouldn't be said for the regions largest daily newspaper. I would say that the teams decisions are likely made for them through consultation with the league. That should have nothing to do with the newspaper though. This isn't the Mayor Kelly concert scandal where hundreds of thousands of tax payer dollars were being funnelled away, and subsequently, covered up. It's a 19 year old fourth liner on the local junior hockey team getting a DUI. Plus the details are all out there now - the booze, the drugs, the accident. What exactly is left o be 'investigated'? And as far as the Herald being "very late" reporting his arraignment… laughable. They reported it THE SAME DAY. Plus an arraignment is just the first step in the drawn out, tedious legal process of our country. Today's proceedings probably didn't even deserve a write up, while Guru thinks Palov should have been camped out in the court room digging for quotes like this is the OJ Simpson trial.

Very late. Metro News was on this yesterday. Like I said, the Herald is reluctant Very late? The arraignment was today. The Herald reported today. I guess the Metro appeals to people who must not have a very good attention span and need to be constantly reminded of things they have already been told. Actually the Metro reported it yesterday and updated today. Wake up MikeC, people are always up on the news, information at our fingertips.

I agree, nothing left to be investigated but hilarious how the Herald is beat by a free news paper when it comes to this issue. I think the Herlad like it that way.

LOL this isnt some star with great interest to everyone, I could see the puck bunny interest but really what is the appeal of a minor hockey player. If anything he is a good example to the other players of why its bad to let drugs get a hold of you. Its a life lesson not something that hits the point by reading a paper. Don't even try to marginalize Vuic or the level of play. You have almost 3000 posts on here, and from what I understand, have season tickets. Yet when this hits the news, it is just "minor hockey". The Mooseheads are the biggest show in town.

So dont even try to magnify, Broken record Guru.

I just want to see you spend your free time in a more productive way than checking the time stamps on newspaper articles about routine court proceedings.

Not so fast MikeC. They mentioned charges were about to be officially laid, sure enough that happened the next day. Not hard for the media to find this out.

I agree. Trying to create controversy where none exists for one's own personal amusement doesn't interest me either.
