I feel like we will end up dealing one of the 4/6 picks, and some of our 3rd from this year/next along with like Deschamps. What we'll end up getting.. who knows at this point. I'd be okay with only keeping one first round pick, but if that is the case I'd like to see us keep #4 and deal #6/#19 if we're making huge moves. I think everyone is expecting a D to be moved. What will be interesting is our opinion of MacIntyre and Deschamps vs the coaching staffs opinion of them going into next year. We all seem to assume Deschamps would be the one to go but do they agree with that?

I am hearing Lalonde will be dealt, not sure for who but I believe the source. That doesn't shock me. Not a lot of room for him to get big ice time here and he should be worth a lot as a trade chip. Moving him for a 2 year top 9 forward is something I can see.

I would rather Lalonde ....more upside ! I think Deschamps was kinda overated right from the getgo . He seems average at best . I question what kinda market there even would be out there .

He's a veteran on the blueline for the next 2 years for a young team. Definitely value in a player like that. Not 1st round pick value, but there would be a market.

How slow he is was exposed , don't you think ? Still I guess your right someone always would want a Veteran Defenceman but he shouldn't be in someones top 4 if they are going for it .

You guys wouldn't be trading him to somebody that's going for it in all likelihood.... there would definitely be a market

Fully agree that Deschamp's lack of speed was evident last year. I think that when LeBlanc went down with his injury, Duncan MacIntyre moved onto his spot on the top two and he really picked up his game. Also, the team has to make room for Jeremy Beaudoin to get some ice time so it appears that someone has to be moved on the blueline.IMO, I would rather move Deschamps instead of lalonde. As it stands right now, I would see Deschamps as a number 5 or 6 dman, behind LeBlanc, Gosselin,Leveille and MacIntyre.

Do CB fans think CB would have any interest in Timo Meier for say the 4th overall this year and a 1st next year and etc.

There was rumblings one might not return so that changes things but I think it's more likely than not that both are in Cape Breton next year.

If Svechnikov is drafted 1st rd is the situation not similar to Quebec's and Grigorenko where they were allowed to carry 3?

Only if Svechnikov makes the NHL next year then gets sent back down after Christmas trading period can we play with 3 euro's. I believe we can use one of our Euro picks this year on a long shot to come though.. not very well versed in Euro stuff.

If Svechnikov is drafted in the first round, we can pick a euro in the import draft and then he is placed on what they call the "special list". If Svechnikov comes back i think we would then have to release the player we pick.

I think our safest bet with #4 is to pick Baribeau. At #5 Charlottetown could very likely pick him and then D'Orio isnt a good enough pick for #6.
After next season CHA is left with Luke House who might not even be a starter in this league so Baribeau seems like the best pick for them at #5.
So if we pick say Crete Belzile at #4 and Baribeau gets picked a 5 then I think Dumont we trade down to where Rouyn Noranda is picking at 8 and get D'Orio and maybe get say their 2nd in the deal. After #8 SJ is picking back to back and are more than certain to pick D'Orio.
