Trade period begins at 10am AST I do believe Sort of but teams can "talk public" after 12 midnight in Quebec. the league office opens at 9am and until they post it in black and white we will not believe any rumors completely. I still am unsure if they can announce any Fucale move until after the tournament so u still will not have complete picture..I think this is what is confusing about the Booth status. He will not move until Fucale can be announced.

Maybe Brassard now and Booth draft because of NTC. Booth backup for Fucale. Or not lol Whoever has to backup Fucale will never get to play. Makes no sense anyone would stick Booth on the bench that long.

Looks like Booth to get the start against the Oceanic. Palov tweeted Booth isn't being traded If Booth isn't coming, and there isn't a 3rd team involved, I think there are going to be many disappointed fans on here today with the announced return for 2 players of this calibre. Quebec just doesn't have the assets. I think we are going have to wait until the draft and possibly longer to see the true value of this deal for Halifax.

If Booth isn't involved in either part of this likely Murphy/Fucale deal, what are the chances that the rights to Hanifin might be a possibility coming back?
EDIT: Of course, it would take some serious witchdoctory to convince him to come to Halifax, when Quebec couldn't convince him to leave BC to play for the Remps in a Memorial Cup year, so the likelihood is probably somewhere between pretty damn slim and none whatsoever.

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that Booth wouldn't have been the price of Fucale and/or Murphy. There is hardly a market for Fucale, and Booth/Brassard are already capable guys. Quebec aren't going to want to pay a fortune (young bluechip goalie) for the upgrade. Plus, Booth likely reported with a no trade and the Memorial Cup tourney in his plans. I doubt he would have been willing to move to Halifax now. MAYBE there is a move at the draft, but I doubt it. I doubt Cam would turn down a better offer from a different team if it existed, but at the same time, I think he would like to send Fucale to the Remparts for another kick at it. I'd guess Fucale would choose the Remparts as his first choice to go to this year.
The 2016 1st could realistically be first overall given everyone Quebec will lose. That could be a huge asset to have and I would certainly move Murphy for it, seeing as he will basically be a 2nd pairing type guy to whoever gets him.
I think we will do ok on the return, but I don't see any monster deal coming from this now.

This is a platform for Team Enthusiasts to express their conjectures limited only by their imaginations.Anything "before it happens" expressions are pure guess.

The more we take from them for next year the better that pick is. I think the deal may be underwhelming in terms of players coming to us immediately, but I can see a couple players being sent over at the draft. Getting Brassard for the rest of the year, while disappointing compared to Booth, it's known that Moncton wants him, and there's a possible deal to be made at the draft with the Wildcats for Brassard. Also I heard (granted, from a completely unreliable source) that Gadoury may want out. While the source in unreliable it is possible he could be traded as well. Gadoury will want exposure, and knowing Halifax is selling he could want off the boat. I think trading Gadoury is beneficial for both parties.

If GM's are allowed to 'talk' about the trades starting 9 hours ago, i'm really surprised that the deal hasn't been reported on by Quebec or Halifax media yet.
The suspense...

Trading Gadoury would mean one more player - whoever is on ice in his place - comes back and plays D...for the most part Gadoury is not very comfortable south of the red line you may be right...find out soon

In fairness the big guys that cover Q for TVA have not reported anything. Its just been Montreal papers mostly...so you can bet they are being less cavalier

First 2 deals done.
Guindon to Rimouski for a first is a little surprising.
Gatineau buying big....

If Guindon fetches a 1st then Cam better be getting a good haul for Fucale. Obviously there was a market for goaltenders....
