Legare traded to Victo...Dubeau to Sherbrooke? Doubt it. I assume they did that to cement Darcy, Lafontaine and Hoyles as their 20's

Rumor on a Quebec board says St.Cyr has been traded either to Moncton or Sherbrooke...maybe the Cats are below their smurf quota with Lalonde and Tkachev gone?

We could have just kept Lalonde , not to mention we'd have to part with Burke or Talbot-Tassi who's play has drastically improved over the last dozen games.

So did we really trade Tkachev, a world junior player, to Quebec for Burke and a 7th and 8th pick straightup? No Brassard, no futures?

Olivier trade confirmed on the Q site for a 3rd, but it's a small 3rd so it's not good.

He played one of his bests games of the year yesterday from what I've seen. Yup ... he took a step backward this year but has been working hard and getting better icetime. He has reminded me of a young Jerome Samson at times (working the boards) and I always hoped he'd turn out that way.

Getting a 3rd for him is actually a very good deal IMHO. I don't mind the Lalonde trade either, just need to move a big piece for a big return, top young player and 1st rounder.

Samson was drafted as a skill player, in the 2nd round, Olivier went 7th round as a grinder/physical player. Samson put up over 1 PPGM in MAAA at 17. www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=213604Olivier never put up big numbers, not even in Bantam, in MAAA he put up 14pts in 42 games.

I said .... he reminded me of a young Jerome Samson. When he did certain things ... he made me think of Jerome Samson ... and mostly when he was working along the boards. I didn't say I expected him to turn out that way ... didn't mention anything about Olivier's offense. You don't get to decide who Olivier reminds me of ... it isn't even something you can argue ... it happened ... its a fact ... shut your cake hole.

Your last post says "Samson didn't really show much offense either until 18" Why bring it up if you didn't expect him to develop into a more offensive player?
