Not sure, depends on how many trolling posts about it you make. Why does it bother u so much Doesn't bother me. I don't care really. I had noticed other posters commenting on the subject in other threads, I saw he got yet another such penalty today so thought I'd mention it. I haven't trolled on it before. Don't get your jacque straps twisted. I thought he dove once on Friday night in the 3rd ... but the Refs were lazy and not calling anything either way. But it is more of a European thing... they grow up playing "footy" where embellishment is a part of the game. Its tough to change that mentality but those that move on to higher levels tend to learn to cut it out of their game. A guy like Ehlers who draws a lot of attention and abuse is going to have those moments where he tires of the stick in the back of the legs and tries to draw a call on a guy that has been irritating him all game. I'll bet most of his infractions have been later in the game after he gets tired of somebody's crap.

If Conner doesn't make the team next year,, does his brother go back to Boston too? I hope not. Danny has progressed very well. He's considered a 20-year-old next season right? D. Moynihan's birthday is Dec. 8, 1995. For next year does that make him a 19 yo or is it 20 yo?

The "Q" age is determined by the year of your birth. So all 1995 born players are considered 20 year olds.

Kevin Resop with 3 assists. Start Brassard and dress Resop on the 4th line. Still happy with the 7th overall pick and the 19th Euro pick. I don't know what's up with Meier and Ehlers lately but they have to right the ship if we have any shot against Shawinigan. Pretty solid effort today for the other 3 lines. I know Moncton was missing pretty much everyone so we'll take it for what it's worth.

Cavan had his worst game of his Q career vs. Saint John - so maybe that is why... Also PP was pathetic overall in SJ game so they put Nauss in for this game.

Its a bad omen for anyone expecting a 5th game vs Shawinigan. Ehlers - full of energy but not getting anywhere with it. He has been caught cheating waiting for a puck that does not come. He has not been skating back to help the D as much --- except for in PK situation where he has been stellar --- he is trying to do too much when we have the puck by himself and wasting opportunities. Things like passing all the way across ice to a defender and making it a pass the guy cant handle. But making that pass sometimes too late. Making the extra deke only to be ganged up on by 4 defenders. The Ehlers we watched the last few games looks like what we watched at the start of the year when he came back from NHL camp. The team struggled then too at getting goals because as I recall it required #24 and/or #28 to touch the puck on every play. He is an exciting player but the other team can more easily stop just one player. Danny Moynihan was by far the best guy on the ice today. He has 33 goals and most of those have been 33 in the trenches goals. Great to have him back as a 20 y.o. next year.

Ehlers/Meier will have to work hard when they're up against the firepower of Beauvillier, Lalonde and Yan. I think they'll turn it around when they're playing against players of their own caliber. They know the cute stuff won't cut it.

Damn, I wanted a loss, but it looks like Moncton is throwing the game, since it has no impact to them at all. Halifax going to lose in round one regardless of opponent, so why not have a better pick. Wonder what it is like going to a game hoping that the team you cheer for loses? This isn't for the #1 pick overall sweepstakes. Didn't go to the game. Didn't watch the game. Didn't follow the game. Wanted the outcome to be a loss. My reasons are my business.

No doubt the team, and Ehlers/Meier, sort of crawled to the finish line of the season. But when you consider the icetime the rookies have dealt with, and the weight on the shoulders of the euro's all year plus world juniors - I'm not too worried about playoffs. Playoffs bring a new energy, and it feels like a new season. Not saying we will play great and/or win a series, but we will probably see more jump in the guys.
For the first time in a few years, we open on the road. Should be fun being an underdog. Upset playoff wins are always the most fun. Don't know much about Shawinigan as far as how they will be as an opponent, but its interesting getting to see an unfamiliar team in a playoff series.

We pulled off a pretty big upset back in 97 when we last played Shawinigan in a 7 game series. Maybe karma will be on our side.
