Schedule:
Mar 27 Halifax at Shawinigan 8:30 PM ADT Mar 28 Halifax at Shawinigan 5:00 PM ADT Mar 31 Shawinigan at Halifax 7:00 PM ADT Apr 1 Shawinigan at Halifax 7:00 PM ADT * Apr 3 Shawinigan at Halifax 7:00 PM ADT * Apr 5 Halifax at Shawinigan 5:00 PM ADT * Apr 7 Halifax at Shawinigan 8:00 PM ADT
First time playing Shawinigan in a seven game series since our upset win in 1997. The odds are around the same this time around. Shawinigan has just as much firepower up front, and more depth. Their goaltending is better, and they have some scoring on the backend. I've said it before, but the way Halifax has been playing lately, our chances at a first round upset are slim IMO. Halifax needs their best players to be better than Shawinigan's best players. They also need their goaltending (Whoever starts.. assuming Brassard) to at least match Cupper's effort. Their powerplay has to be better than the 20.5% they achieved in the regular season.
I'm predicting Shawinigan in six. I really want to predict Halifax in seven. But they have to show us that they are better than they played in March. Ehlers and Meier need to win us some games. Hoping for an upset, but content with the season we've had, and looking to the future.
Go Moose!

Mooseheads' lack of depth is what will kill them. Hopefully Ducharme plays Meier and Ehlers 25 minutes plus.

I picked Shawinigan in 6. Hoping for an upset, but we would need our third & fourth lines & goaltending to play lights out. The one area the Moose do lack in is on the PK. Not sure what the numbers are, but the Mooseheads have been awful on the PK the last month and a half.
Hope they can turn things around, but I think it's only one fans wishful thinking.
Go Moose Go!

Shawinigan in 5 ... Cupper will stand tall against the Moose Cupper has really struggled against the Mooseheads. He was pulled earlier this season in a 6-3 loss and allowed 5 goals in February.

Hope they can turn things around, but I think it's only one fans wishful thinking. Go Moose Go! An easy solution to their PK is to stop taking so many stupid penalties.....they need to be disciplined to extend their season

Yes Cupper had the best save % out of the goalies with enough minutes to actually count in any meaningful way. Auger was leading but his and the Sea Dogs ultra crappy last 2 months took care of that bigtime lol.
