This is my projection: Lazarev ‘A’ - Bishop ‘C’ - Svechnikov (Impact 19)- Dubois - (Impact 20) (Solid Middle 6'er) - Martineau - Tower (?) Boucher - (Rookie/FA) - D. Smith Leblanc ‘A' - Leveille 'A' MacIntyre - Gosselin (20) Deschamps - Lalonde Belanger (20) Muise/Dugan Targets:Impact 19 = Aube-Kubel, Blais, Ratelle, Richard. Perron. Impact 20 = Simpson, DeLuca (Volts?), Sanche, Ranger. Middle 6'er = Solid two-way player who can move into top 6 when needed (O'Leary? ). Assets: Any of our picks in the top 3 rounds in 2014, 2015 and 2016, Beaudin, O'Leary, Muise/Dugan. I'd put D. smith up to third line and have Bonaparte on 4th, and was Vince Beaudry a d-man or forward? He seemed to be a good energy player

Not sure about Bonaparte though, i'd rather test FA and see if Dumont can find another Jacob Smith type player. Vince Beaudry is a forward.

Only thing I'm looking for this offseason is a goalie at 4 or 6. Hell give me goalies at both for all I care, I just want to see another 4 year goalie in CB.
After that, I trust Dumont.

If Jacob Smith can score 20-25 goals next season and be the player he was this year I have no problem giving him an overage spot

Looks pretty good for next year. We definitely need 2 or 3 top end forwards to make a serious run, a top end goalie would also be nice. Should be an interesting year next year with our Euros. it is a possibility that Svechnekov might make the NHL(depending on who drafts him) and I am also hearing from a source that if Lazarev is not drated, he will not return and will opt to play in the KHL (money).

.....Svechnikov "may" get an extended look but he will not stay in the NHL "next year" and as far as Lazerev goes , you would think someone would take a late round flier on him .

I don't know if Svechnikov making the NHL is realistic but if/when he's drafted early enough, they'll be able to draft a 3rd import at the import draft who could potentially replace Lazarev if that rumor has any validity.

That's not really something you can force. If there's no goalie ranked high you're not going to spend a high pick on one. I don't know enough about the draft to know if there's any goalies ranked that high or not.

Pretty sure if he's a 1st round pick, we can draft another Euro, but the 3rd Euro can't play but we can own his rights. Not sure how long we can hold onto the 3rd Euro though.

Bobby Dugan who the Eagles acquired at the deadline from Saint John is supposedly reporting to camp to compete for a job. I don't know much about him, just another goaltender to throw into the mix.
The cupboards are well stocked with picks the next few years, it will be entertaining to see how the off season plays out.

I could be wrong but I thought it was a top 20 pick meant you could draft a new Euro. If the import made the NHL this or next year (he's a late birthday so next year is irrelevant) you would have a replacement import available to you. In this case, if Lazarev decided not to return, you could use that replacement import that you took in the draft from Svechnikov being picked early enough. Quite premature to really worry about this stuff anyway. That's not really something you can force. If there's no goalie ranked high you're not going to spend a high pick on one. I don't know enough about the draft to know if there's any goalies ranked that high or not. This: Baribeau and D'Orio both are ranked in the top 10. Both are goalies. I agree that if you don't think they're that quality, don't force it, but I hope they walk away with a 4 year goalie. Could be in the 2nd or 6th round to be honest, I'm just sick of seeing new goalies every year and they're always mediocre.

Heard a rumor that Sully will be attending St.Fx this fall So Q career over for him as well I'm guessing. Dumont probably already gave him a heads up he won't be a 20 yr old next year. Doubt he plays for stfx.
