I don't mean to drag out this whole Veleno thing in this thread but I see an awful lot of comments regarding stats comparing his numbers to Bowers. Can't compare players based off of stats alone in 2 different leagues ... The level of competition is higher in Quebec. I'm not anti Bowers by any means I think he's a great prospect and very happy he is playing in our division looking forward to spending a lot of time watching him grow as a player. Either way it's great for us all that both of these kids will be spending a lot of time in our arenas.

Jared McIsaac had 7 in 7 and he's an underage D for 3rd seed Cole Harbour.

I read somewhere that he was injured during the playoffs. Even if he was injured, he should have been able to scoop up those famous LSL phantom assists The injury happened in the 3rd last game in the playoffs.

Yes the same "Phantom" assists that happen all the time in minor hockey ... Happens across the board and the Maritime leagues are not an exception to this rule.

The fact that anyone is comparing prospects by points in diff leagues is crazy. Does any of you actually watch the games in midget?

I've been around minor hockey for .... we'll say a few years I'm well aware of the goings on around minor hockey At the end of the day using stats needs to be kept in perspective ... I've had the chance to work with some very good scouts over the past few years and you just can't compare stats from NSMMHL or NB/PEI MMHL to the QMAAA - It's just not a fair comparison given the competition level between the two leagues.

Sorrentino had some good numbers in Junior B in Ontario. Has good size,a diamond in the rough?
