If Halifax wins this series at home soon as the buzzer goes....the Scotiabank centre needs to go Black ... and the smoke machine fills the ice with Undertaker music and on the big screen..... in his Voice....WILDCATS RIP....Thats some WWF for ya. This would be the greatest moment of my life. Yes World Wildlife Fund is a great cause!

no i am not betting we win at all just yet. there is a lot of hockey left. I think once Moncton gets to Halifax that will make them more relaxed and change their game somewhat.

This should have been more than a 2 and should have been a suspension. Why? The momentum of both players was going towards the boards. Why don't you start a new game thread instead

This should have been more than a 2 and should have been a suspension. Watch the other angle and it still does not look like anymore than roughing we always see in the Q. In fact you will wonder why interference was not called.
My angle was not great, but I was thinking interference also!

I don't think Bent should be suspended but, after looking at the video, I think he probably should have gotten more than a minor. It wasn't quite Weber on Zetterberg but it he did direct Malatesta's head into the glass. Ok do you think Johnson should be suspended for his shove on Ehlers? Ehlers probably hurt himself more by launching himself than from the actual shove.

(Of course the Johnson hit should not be suspendable). It was called properly.

Are you saying the Johnson hit was called properly? You just said it wasn't suspendable.

What was called properly? Are you saying the Johnson hit was called properly? You just said it wasn't suspendable. I'm making perfect sense. You saying Ehlers "launched" himself into the boards, is foolish. And I'm saying the play was called correctly. Johnson's penalty, was appropriate. No suspension warranted.

The Johnson hit was the 2nd time that a 4-minute penalty has been called on a play like that. The vast, vast majority of double minors are caused by a high-stick that draws blood. The official rule is that a minor penalty that causes physical injury (blood, lost tooth etc) is subject to a double minor. A lot of times in the regular season, that call is a 5 minute major. The league must have put it out there to stop calling 5 minute majors in that situation. I don't mind that at all. Whether or not a player returns to the game or not shouldn't determine the punishment on the play.
