I truly thought even tho he has been dominant that he played a better game last year. Just my opinion

I love the change in the tone of Moosehead fans posts...lol...I hope the moose players have more heart than their fans. Really, what about the pissed off, down Moncton fans, they changed big time. Did not hear Moose fans say Moncton is done after the first 2 games. Most thought they would win the series to begin with, just check the poll. I suppose you think fans being realistic will make the Moose play worse. Cheering wont be less anyway. Www another fan feeling the fear...I see realistic is equal to giving up...I love it.....

The Wildcats were expected to win this series and win it handedly. The fact that the Mooseheads took games one and two at the Coliseum and forced overtime in game four makes Moncton look less than impressive and unworthy of the second seed.

Unworthy ? Ok how do you figure that ? Did they just make up points? No I believe they did finish second and yes they played two terrible games in Moncton. Bounced back and really played pretty decent road games considering the penalty both good and bad against them. Moose played very well and brassard frustrated them. The beat chic who arguably were a much better team than the moose. Very good top two lines. Very decent d and a great goalie Unfortunately they started off 2-19 I believe and fired their coach. Hard to come back from that start.

Offensively, Halifax lacks serious depth. Brassard, while good, has never been a number one goaltender in his four years in the QMJHL. The Wildcats should have no problem with the Mooseheads yet they have. They've been unimpressive is all I'm saying.

No you should check what you wrote. Looked less than impressive and unworthy of second. Not that they looked unworthy

Moncton looks like they have momentum and Halifax is running out of gas either due to a lack of depth or injuries(depending who you want to believe). Cats have not shown to be the clearly superior team...so far.

Where will he be playing? Unless he goes to Europe he will be back. Winnipeg aren't going to bring a 19 yr old into the fold. And he can't play Ahl. Obviously he needs to work on lots before the next level Why not? He almost made the team out of camp last year. 19 isn't super young, Pastrnak is 18 playing for the Bruins, Sam Bennett is 18 playing in the playoffs, etc... This is not comparing apples to apples... Sam Bennett finished his junior season and he has Bob Hartley as coach who is "rookie friendly" type of coach and put him right in there for energy as they have all year. Boston had big cap trouble. Pastrnak was their cheapest option. Ehlers looks like he could make the jump. He will have to change the way he plays up there. But Winnipeg is a budget team which means they never spend to the salary cap and that deferring a year may be a good thing for them down the road. There will be tons of pressure to keep him but it will depend on the big picture as it always does.

You need to ask yourself do u really think if the Cats win this series that they are scraping by in can they beat the next team they will face....looks like Quebec right now?? I wonder what confidence Cats Nation has in doing that after watching how this series has gone?

They almost kept him this year.

There will be tons of pressure to keep him but it will depend on the big picture as it always does. Winnipeg has always spent at or near the cap since moving from Atlanta. The cap is a non issue for Ehlers, he's their crown jewel prospect and needs a new challenge to keep on his development path, Halifax at 19 can only stall his development.

The Cats would be a clear underdog against Quebec, though Quebec has had rough patches the last few months and some of their best players seem to show up and then disappear...an upset would not be a huge one. I expect them to beat Halifax and lose next round.
