This is what I have copied over from HF boards courtesy of Scoutman who is a Q league scout and is very knowledgeable. This is his mock draft based upon what he sees as team needs and what players should be available in these spots before any trades are made of course.
1. Saint John – Shane Bowers – Fast skater, dynamic puck handler, great goal scoring and great playmaking and passing ability, Bowers also is good two way ability too and very very smart, he is the most talented player in my opinion and I can not see Saint John taking Comtois over him either. 2. Bathurst – Maxim Comtois – Some argue he is the best in the draft, when it comes to it you can not go wrong with either Bowers or Comtois but he is a franchise player in the making, great hands and smarts, excellent passer and playmaker and just as good of a goal scorer, this guy is an amazing offensive player. 3. Victo – Antoine Morand – Small guy but very skilled, runs the offense, will put up big points. 4. Cape Breton – Antoine Crete-Belzile – Smooth, super smart, makes everything look easy, Belzile is what Cape Breton needs to add from the back end. 5. Charlottetown – Jockton Chainey – Size, skill and smarts, Chainey is what Charlottetown needs. 6. Cape Breton - Dereck Baribeau – Great goalie which Cape Breton needs, franchise goalie in the making. 7. Halifax – Louis-Filip Cote – Losing offense I can see Halifax garbing Cote this high in the draft, I still think they might make an attempt to get the 1st overall pick or at least top 3 depending on if they feel Bowers could drop. Cote though has size, smarts and great skill. 8. Rouyn Noranda – Joel Teasdale - Skilled player with speed, great goal scoring, excellent puck handler, he has the potential to be a great offensive player in the QMJHL. 9. Saint John – Peyton Hoyt – I can not see Saint John passing on a New Brunswick talent who is very talented goal scorer and great ability to score BIG goals. 10. Saint John – Alex D’Orio – Needing a good goalie for the future, I can see D’Orio getting the nod here, he is quick, good positioning, a potential big time goalie for the future, with a young talented team around him the goalie for the future is the next step they need. 11. Blainville – Yan Aucoin – Big shot, great size and strength, good smarts, Aucoin is going to be a number 2 or 3 defender in the league, he has the ability to play in all situations as well. 12. Chicoutimi – Arnaud Durandeau – Fast skater, I found he plays a bit soft and does not go into traffic areas enough, he has skill though and his game will work in the QMJHL he has the ability to put up decent numbers in the QMJHL. 13. Val-D’Or – Alex Oliver Voyer – Excellent playmaker and IQ, he is able to play a smooth speedy game who controls the play in the offensive end, he would work great with a Julien Gauthier. 14. Shawinigan – Alexander Krief – Is a defender who has great offensive ability and size, he plays up front some too as a forward but he has good playmaking ability from the point, runs PP, skates well for a big guy, needs to get better in own zone though. 15. Val-d’Or – Charlie Lacombe - Smart defender, good passing out of his zone, very calm, good in own zone 16. Blainville – Simon Lefebvre – drafting this guy is on pure potential, he has size, skill but never played much this year due to injury, he is a guy who could turn out to be the biggest steal in the draft or the biggest bust of the 1st round. 17. Moncton – Anthony Poulin – Another small forward but Poulin is very skilled in the offensive end, exciting to watch and has skill to be a big time point producer in the QMJHL, Moncton needs more offense. 18. Drummondville - Jeremy Grouleau – Really picked up his play in the 2nd half of the season and made everyone take notice, he has talent and seems to be a guy who could get better and better, he has potential steal in the draft potential, hard to see Drummondville pass on that. 19. Cape Breton – Mathieu Charlebois – I can see Cape Breton taking a chance on this once thought off phenome, he has great size and skating and smooth play, his potential is still high and I personally think he got a lot better from the start to the finish.
20. Rimouski – David Noel - I really like this guy, smooth, good size, not flashy but does everything well. 21. Shawinign – Zachary Bouthillier - Shawinigan will find their goalie of the future here in Bouthillier. 22. Victo – Shawn Boudrias - Really picked his game up in the playoffs, he is a skilled guy who is just realizing his talents. 23. Chicoutimi – Jordan Lepage - I am not sold on this guy but i have seen many Chicoutimi scouts watching him 24. Gatineau – Nicolas Guay - Excellent underrated player in the draft in my opinion, smart, hard worker, great playmaker, hard to pass this guy up. 25. Gatineau – Anthony Gagne - Smaller player but really came on 2nd half of the season, he has skill and smarts as well, he is a guy I can just see in a Gatineau Jersey. 26. Halifax – Keenan MacIsaac - Local talent, Halifax needs more puck moving defenders and this guy could be one of the best in the draft. 27. Rouyn – William Poirier - I was not impressed with him in the season much, but late in the year at the challenge and playoffs this guy was dynamite, enough for him to get some good looks and to have a team take a chance on him. 28. Baie Comeau – Jason Imbeault - Smart player, good passer, works well in tight, works hard, Baie Comeau could use a guy like that. 29. Shawinigan – Kenyan Berger - not a stranger to Maritimers, Berger is skilled power forward who just needs to get more consistant. 30. Sherbrooke – James Orr - A smooth skating defender who has great potential, he has everything you would want in a defender just has not put it together yet. 31. Halifax – Matthew Walsh - Halifax needs a great goalie in the wings and Walsh is local and very good, he has the ability to be a solid number one goalie in the QMJHL. 32. Val-D’Or – Adam Capannelli - Great all around player, hard worker, smart and does what is asked. 33. Blainville – Tommy Cardinal - Hard worker, average skills but is able to play on any line, smart pick. 34. Blainville – Cole Rafuse - Big, Strong, has the ability to be star in the making if he realized how to play the game he is ment to play, he has offensive skill and with a 6'01/200 frame he seems almost scared to take the body to guys, in the games he has though he takes over the game. Big time talent if he starts to play how he should. 35. Blainville – Vincent Martineau - Skilled defensive defender, he has good position and will give depth to what ever teams picks him. 36. Cape Breton – Derek Gentile - I really do not see Cape Breton passing up on this guy, very talented, almost reminds me of a little bigger Ferrell who is on Cape Breton now, local talent with great skill. 37. Rouyn Noranda – Cedric Pare - Good size, looks good on the ice, plays good two way game, not scared to grind on the boards.

If that came true I would be very happy with the Moosehead's first 3 picks. Interesting that he mentioned Halifax trying to move up in the top three. If they do, I hope they don't give up too much. Great job by Scoutman on this and thanks Moosefan1994 for reposting.

I don't know if you are on HF but you may want to check out his early assessment for 2016- we all know about Veleno and Jared Macisaac but there are other solid prospects including Max Fortier's little brother Gabriel who will play for LSL. Scoutman is an awesome poster to follow on there; he was the one who made me aware of Nathan Mackinnon back in 2009 , 2 years before he came to the Q.

That is quite the crop of players for 2016. Maybe this will reflect the Mooseheads moves this year in trying to get some more first round picks for the 2016 draft. Maybe they would consider trading Meier as well as Donaghey.

Its a tank year 2016 for sure next season and top 5 picks will mean more as some players uncertain to commit to Q, like Veleno they could drop. Halifax could over achieve but should not be better next year barring unexpected players reporting, especially considering the division. Add Quebec pick it should be good draft. I would expect trade period at Xmas to max picks like last season. Could be like the Drouin/Mackinnon draft strategy. They say BPA will be taken this year but that is their list and they have to drop extra players from protected list with 17 picks. They have quite a few younger players to protect and perhaps some picks could go for 2016 picks with FA coming. Likely will get pick(s) from extra 20 as well.

If things panned out with Ehlers coming back and if they traded Meier as well as Donaghey, that should be 3 more first rounders there. That would be a ridiculous 5 first rounders. Maybe I am getting a bit carried away.

Unless Ehlers comes back, which I don't think will happen, I would have to put the Mooseheads at 5th place in the division right now before any selling is done. I give us 5th place simply because unless Bathurst improves their short-term then they are likely in 6th place and heck they played the Mooseheads tough last year so you never know.
Saint John- As long as goaltending isn't a huge issue I see them as #1.
Cape Breton- interchangeable with the Dogs to be quite honest.
Moncton- I don't see a huge drop so much as a large jump from the Eagles and the Dogs.
Charlottetown- Natural progression keeps them above the Mooseheads and maybe closer to the other three especially with a potential 50 goal scorer in Sprong, big time goalie in Macdonald and a decent supporting cast.
For now I see the Mooseheads as better than Bathurst as we have a more established team even with the losses of Ehlers, Hardie and Gadoury. But I believe that this year Cam will go more into sell mode and I think Bathurst will buy a little bit just to make the playoffs so interchangeable especially if the Mooseheads sell. 2016 could be the equivalent to the Mooseheads of the 2011 draft but actually not having to trade up or make a deal later.
Now that said and in getting back to the 2015 draft- I think this year's draft could be a combination of our 2009-2010 drafts as we actually have a 1st and numerous picks after that with only missing a 5th. Now I am quite sure we all remember the 2nd overall pick in 2010 and who we could have had in Charles Hudon. Scoutman has us with the Cote kid with Teasdale going to RN at #8- I had heard of Teasdale but not so much about Cote. It would be so nice to get the Charles Hudon of the draft this year not so much for 2015-2016 but for 2-3 years down the road and having a kid who could make the transition easier for Veleno if we get to draft him next year.
Despite I don't see the Mooseheads doing much next season I am excited to see our draft in 17 days and the actual start of the rebuild even though we do have some young guys already unlike this time back in 2009.

Maybe I am getting a bit carried away. Too many variables in a draft to say but for a team in the Moose situation, they have an unbalanced lineup between D and forward, they need to restructure so the lineup can move forward as a unit. I dont see an easy way to do that unless they find a year to build a skilled base. This year can start that but ideally they need more top end talent which is not as deep this year. Having the 2 firsts next year, players to trade that dont fit with the teams future and potential high picks next year it would make sense to build around 2016. Thats also based on putting all the little things said by management together. Like talk about drafting young guys to send back for a year before adding them to the roster. This year with all the rounds allowing 15yr olds drafted would perhaps lead to a 2016 draft where high end could join depth from this year. They also have the extra 2018 1st to use for holes depending what happens to that.

Did you bother to read the little blurbs that Scoutman put for the three kids he mentioned in his mock draft? A skilled forward, puck moving defenceman and a goalie of the future- why would anybody have a problem with that?

Like Moosefan1994 said I was just reading the reports that Scoutman, who has see them play, wrote. I actually looked up Cote on another prospects site and read a scouting report on him. I also read numerous comments on these guys over the last few months. I am not a moron. I know this is all speculative who the Mooseheads draft. Just having some fun with it. Don't know why you find the need to call me out. Seems a bit more personal from previous exchanges u have had with me. If that floats your boat then fine. Carry on.

I wouldn't be shocked if Halifax took Peyton Hoyt either at #7 - Hoyt had an excellent Gatorade Challenge and really impressed scouts at the event.

Moose will get an offer for their pick, teams kick tires on moving up every year, just to see what its worth. The Moose will do the same with other teams too. It heats up when players are still available when a team sees them as a steal or good deal. If a lower rated player, in general terms, is what the Moose want then that is were the risk of trading down comes in. Moose dont tend to go off the board so early like a Bathurst or Gatineau does.
