Heard he is from down here as in Halifax and is Q eligible. Well I looked up his info on Elite Prospects and it says he's from Sackville playing in the GTA. But there's a debate on the HF boards on who's jurisdiction he falls under. And like I said he's not drafted all ready so he to old to be drafted to OHL. so why wouldn't he want to be under the Q then is what I'm getting to. If he is a Q kid and maybe a sleeper to fall to Halifax at Sha's pick or into the 2nd maybe? whl does a bantam draft not the ohl

If his Home and Parents live in sackville then he can only be claimed in the Q draft. example would be kids like Sidney Crosby, Brett Crossley Andrew Ryan and Liam Obrien going out of proviince for school or midget hockey but families still live in maritimes so they can only be drafted by the Q and of course the USHL

I read these and I'm not asking you Jacqu but on the board they talk about this Deveaux kid. Some on the board say he's OHL property and other say he's still in the Q's jurisdiction. The questions I have are what jurisdiction does he fall under? 2, why would have want to be under the OHL's because if he is, isn't he to old to be drafted there? Isn't their draft a bantam draft? I can confirm he is registered for the OHL draft

We lose and Quebec loses, another ideal night for our tank.
Quebec is so bad right now that pick can realistically become 4th overall. I think it's almost a lock Drummondville and Sherbrooke will pass them. With some luck so will Blainville. Head to head matchups between Quebec and Sherbrooke/BLB will be huge in determining where that pick lands.

I think a healthy Titan team is better than anyone currently behind Quebec. I'd say 3rd is not out of the question, but a lot has to go right to get there.

I think a healthy Titan team is better than anyone currently behind Quebec. I'd say 3rd is not out of the question, but a lot has to go right to get there. It's not, it's gonna take some luck though. Last year the 16th place team had 61 points, but then again league parity was pretty absurd, and that's an above average number for a 16th place team. The year before last it was Shawinigan with 49, and before that Saint John 47. It would be unusual for the 16th place to have 53+ points. Bathurst is currently sitting on 45 points with 16 games remaining (32 points still up for grabs.) They have some injuries, but even if they win at around their season average win%, they can finish with ~57-59 points on the season. Based on Quebecs recent slump, it is possible Quebec could go the rest of the season picking up only 5-10 points, but even that might be enough not to slip below Bathurst (or one of the other teams below them) In the remaining 16 games, Bathurst only needs to win 5 games more than Quebec does, plus they have a game in hand. When phrased like that, it doesn't seem impossible.

If the teams that are behind Quebec, not including Halifax and BC of course, continue on at there at .500 pace and Quebec only gets 8-10 points the rest of the way then we could have the #1-#2 picks and the #3 pick. I think Raimu is basically saying the same thing though in more words

Another interesting thought, actually.
If Bathurst (.450) and Quebec (.150) continue winning at the pace they have been in the previous 10 games, than Bathurst will pass Quebec. But does it really matter in the end?
Depends on how high we are on a guy like Rodrigue, but do you think Bathurst spends the 3rd overall pick on a goaltender when they have more pressing needs (a young defenseman like Bucheler)? It could be the case that regardless of weather we pick before or after Bathurst, the outcome would be the same.

Even Bathurst who has a lot of ground to cover plays in a division where every team is flawed, and they can pick up points against anybody. Somebody like BBA might be in tough to catch ground cause they have to face 3 of the 4 best teams in the league in their division.
Quebec only plays BaC once. Looking at their schedule, they might only have 5 points left to gain.
Bathurst gets Quebec twice (huge games for Halifax) and Halifax twice, BaC, Moncton twice who are pretty awful right now. They also get Saint John three times and while they're a good team, that many games against one team they could squeak out a win. I can see Bathurst getting as many as 15-17 points. Unlikely but not impossible.
I think it'll be close but I'd bet the Quebec pick ends up 5th, but it'll only take a big game or two by BAA or BAT to drop it to 3rd.
