Was that the injury he got from being an idiot on a 3 wheeler? Like i said bad pro pretty sure lots of players recovered from knee injuries Yeah, I suppose Sheppard was an idiot by swerving to avoid that oncoming truck on a guided ATV tour. Not all knee injuries are the same just so you know. It doesn't really matter if he was on a guided tour or not....he had a no ATV riding clause in his contract. The fact that he ignored his contractual obligations is what makes him an idiot.

...................well someone thought it was funny ! It's quite stupid, childish and immature to think that a grown adult would post something such as that and actually get a reply and be somewhat proud of it...

It seems as though he doesn't appreciate you calling him that and I don't believe it has any room anywhere. Especially when it has absolutely zero to do with the topic of discussion. You don't have to read anyone of my posts. That's completely your choice.

Exactly
and the name actually stands for something
it certainly didn't have anything to do with the immature needling you continue to do
and i've actually asked you before to stop
but like the rest of this place...... nobody pays attention until a moderator steps in.... it's like online grade school waiting for the teacher to tell you to stop
it is not even remotely acceptable to use that as an insult in this day and age... in person or online..... you're certainly old enough to know better or should be
now if you want to continue to debate the actual topic at hand..... ie Mr Sheppard and his failure to live up to any of the hype he had when he was drafted.... let's do so... otherwise move on

James Sheppard was not given the opportunity to develop properly the moment Jacques Lemaire decided that practicing with Minnesota ....getting his personal hands on approach and playing a handful of games was better than a 19 year old season in the Q , playing on a WJC Club and a nice playoff run . The broken kneecap just sent it all in a downward spiral .

He played 78 and 82 games in his teenage years..... that is not a handful of games
I realize he was incredibly popular as a Screaming Eagle and the fact he is a Nova Scotian some feel the need to defend him more but as a pro he was an absolute bust of a pick... before the injury and after... and the injury was caused doing something stupid which was written in his contract for him not to do.... as a guy who struggled badly and whose contract was extended to give him a chance.. it was incredibly idiotic for him to decide just before camp to go on a guided ATV tour in the rockies
I don't know the full extent of his injury but his career post injury was no better or worse than it was before the injury..... he was a bad pick period

It doesn't change the fact that Sheppard didn't deliver based on his skill set and hype in junior after his huge production at 18. His injury, as others have stated, was sheer stupidity in even being in that scenario. If that happened to say a Leafs prospect, people like you would mock it to no end. But here you are trying to defend it using the logic that Jacques Lemaire is a bad coach and made the decision himself to keep Sheppard when in reality Lemaire was a good coach and Minnesota was making an organizational decision that they made with many others in a similar situation including another bust from the Q in PM Bouchard.

PM Bouchard a bust? Drafted 8th overall in 2002. Sheppard Drafted 9th overall in 2006. 394 games in the NHL for Sheppard, 23 goals, 68 assists 91 points, -38 ... 593 games in the NHL for Bouchard, 110 goals, 246 assists 356 points, +6 ... Yeah, what a bust Bouchard was. 3 50+ point seasons yet he was a bust like Sheppard. LOL

Put up 1 20 goal season and really only had 3 solid seasons total. I'd call them both a bust based on the expectations they had. Is 1 more then the other? Sure if it makes you feel better.

People don't have to agree with me or anyone else here. Nor do I have to agree with you or anyone else. Flannigan disagreed with my statement, I have no issue with that. Some may disagree with him. It's no black and white factual statement....it's all opinion based. You're the only one jumping in with 2 cents that only add the fact you're an idiot to the conversation.
