Here is the update till Christmas. Drouin did not play a lot of games yet. Player | Team | GP | G | A | P | PIM | | Nathan MacKinnon | COL | 35 | 10 | 19 | 29 | 12 | | Brad Marchand | BOS | 31 | 15 | 9 | 24 | 54 | | Jakub Voracek | PHI | 34 | 3 | 20 | 23 | 10 | | Nikolaj Ehlers | WIN | 35 | 5 | 7 | 12 | 8 | | Alex Tanguay | COL | 24 | 2 | 8 | 10 | 14 | | Jonathan Drouin | TBY | 18 | 2 | 6 | 8 | 4 | |
Could we please remove Marchand from that list?

Could we please remove Marchand from that list? I don't think so ! He's an Alumnus of the Mooseheads starring in the NHL & a home town kid. But he's also the perfect example of bringing in a star player at the last minute hoping that the coaching of systems instilled in him by other organizations is going to mesh with whatever your organization is teaching which may be something quite different. That's always risky in the short term - it takes time. There's absolutely no doubt about his prowess as a hockey player now.

Well deserved. He clearly wasn't ready for the NHL.

Well deserved. He clearly wasn't ready for the NHL. Dummies - he was just cleared to play on the 30th after injury - it's called conditioning.

It must be so hard to understand posts by someone so dumb. Maybe I'll have to alter my future posts so intelligent people such as yourself can interpret them properly.

He certainly has had some issues with injuries which has folied his opportunities with TB to play lot of minutes with the other injuries they have had. Its unfortunate. Get the feeling that as Lightning get healthier as a team they really can't have as much patience as they look to make playoffs which is bad for players wanting to crack the lineup.

Based on Steve Yzerman's comments, it doesn't exactly sound like a simple conditioning assignment! "We'll bring him back at the appropriate time. I don't have a set date for him to return." Also rumors he's being shopped....

Drouin has officially requested a trade from Tampa...well did so in November and went public with it today...kid isn`t doing himself any favors... I don't think he'll be buried in the minors because of his trade request. But it wouldn't shock me if it is taking him a while to become a "professional". Asking for a trade a little over one year into your hockey career at 20 years old isn't exactly being professional. Doesn't help his image that's for sure.

I consider he and Huberdeau very similar players and prospects. Huberdeau is in his 4th season and over his last calendar year or so just started to look more comfortable as an NHL player. And he`s on a younger team with lower expectations. Drouin views himself very highly, but needs production to match how good he thinks he is.

Elliotte Friedman seems to have doubt as to whether or not he'll be in the lineup today for Syracuse. If they keep him out, trade might happen sooner rather than later now. As much as I'd hate it because I'd hardly ever see him, it'd be interesting to see him in Arizona.

Drouin also has one of the biggest asshole agents out there in Allan Walsh- he would be doing himself a favor by just sucking it up and becoming a real professional and dropping the blowhard agent while he is at it.
