It's going to be a tough year with so many rookies, no size we are going to get pushed around, questionable defence, not much offence, I can see some long nights, but Shannon says we are going to be fast maybe the opponent won't be able to catch us. who knows Your team has some good skaters, but not specially faster than the normal Q speed. The Titan were just as quick or faster.

Would it be safe to say we are going to be going all in on a tank this season, probably making it official at Christmas?

The last few years they overachieved early and changed plans midstream. Would they not tank looking for the number 1 overall pick who would be ready for his second season when the New Events Centre opened up? They're obviously building for 2 years from now or so, they could still tank and rebuild at the same time.

They keep trading away 1st and 2nd round pick despite a mountain of evidence showing it's a very bad idea.

Everything I've read and heard points towards a rebuild this season and next with an eye towards 2018-19. Will they do this properly? That I don't know.
I really can't see them overachieving this season to the point where they don't sell. There's no Garland, the D is very inexperienced and maybe most importantly this is not another year where CB, and to a lesser extent CTown, is expected to lead the division and fail miserably which then opens the door for other teams. Barring some complete disaster Saint John will win this division and I believe Bathurst will be a very solid second place team behind them.

I would not be shocked if Bathurst underachieves even though they have a good team on paper, taht's what scares me, cats are 2nd after 20-25 games and they start getting ambitious about this year...

Well.....despite it all(commentary here and the Irving guy - Hodge), lets hope for an entertaining season- some good dustups with C'htn, kick some Moose ass, an occasional win against Saint John, a blowout loss or two against CB and a possible series win against Bathurst in regular season.
Finally, here's hoping on of those FM radio station talking heads will swallow his mike live.............

Bathurst has prennially unerachieved the last 10 yaers, hard to break the cycle.

Merrimack recruit Ethan Destefani makes Waterloo's 23-man roster. Dominic Dockery makes the Youngstown 23-man roster.

Speaking of cycle, in l'Acadie Nouvelle this morning they have an article from Guillaume Lepage of Canadian Press where they mention at the end that the Wildcats will be the Maritimes team competing against SJ for the championship of this Division...
