Dumont speaks in the paper about this was the worst game for the team in the last four months, the last two games they came out flat and unprepared. That falls at the feet of the coach under the category of Game Preparation. All too often s team come out not ready to play, for an experienced team like this, that should not be an issue, neither should the stupid f---ing retaliation penalties.

Have to wonder if Svechnikov is playing with a hurt shoulder. He looked like a completely different player last night. That was the hit I was surprised Imama didn't get suspended for. I don't think it is his shoulder though, it looked like Imama chicken-winged him in the wrist (especially since Svech was clearly trying to shake his wrists out after the hit).

You're in the playoffs...the second round of the playoffs...why the hell wouldn't they all be prepared to come out and give 100% yes, it falls on the coach, but the players should effing well know by now what needs to be done. if you're not motivated to play hard by now, then go help Pat in the press box! (PS - If the coach is actually saying that [HIS] players were not prepared, anyone with common sense (ie Board of Directors) should keep this in mind if the Eagles' season comes to an abrupt end because of this excuse. With the talent they have, this should not be the reason they falter.)

Then who do we have to play that role?

It's another to not even be in the game for 40 minutes. That effort was a slap in the face to the fans and I hope the board felt it too if this thing doesn't get back on track.

With the talent this team has, that effort last night (or lack thereof) should be unacceptable. Yes, these are veteran players, but ultimately the preparedness of the hockey team, both mentally and physically, is the responsibility of the head coach. If they are not prepared and not putting in the necessary effort, its his job to correct it.What we saw last night was a well coached and highly prepared hockey team against a team that had no plan in place and no systems, just put everyone in a bag and give it a shake and see what falls out.Not acceptable. As far as the Board of Directors is concerned, they know the problem but choose to bury their heads in the sand and let this mediocrity continue.
