Can't blame the referees but when a defence has his stick wrapped around someone's stomach is that not hooking? It's really unexplainable to be honest. They don't call anything except the obvious stuff and really let the guys play a good exciting game, and then for whatever reason decide THOSE are the two infractions that must be called, like come the fuck on... Whyyyy After we killed the first penalty I figured there's no way the refs call anything else, I hate leaving the rink feeling like the game was tainted in some way, it's unfulfilling. Hope the guys can take it in game 7

That is an absolutely gut wrenching way to lose a playoff hockey game....

Bertrand penalty is bullshit, where the hell is he suppose to go? The penalty shot was also a bogus call. It should have been a hooking penalty. And then they follow up by plays where the refs tolerate everything and then they start calling the Eagles at half the 3rd period. No consistency! There was a lot of hooking and holding the stick uncalled tonight and the Dower penalty looked like Reginato showed have had an embleshment penalty on that

Do the refs explain the 4 shots in the third period?

The Eagles, with twelve 19 year-olds, are the most veteran team in the QMJHL this season. They are expected to win games like tonight's.

If anyone locates the talented goal scoring Russian by the name of svechnikov someone let him know game 7s on Tuesday btw.
Any time he wants to start playing like a 1st round nhl draft pick that'd be greattt

For sure there was some questionable non-calls late in that game, but that's the Q officiating, always been that way, always will. It really does go both ways...they miss stuff constantly.
my favorite was when the net was off and it took the crowd screaming at the official to alert him to it...purely beer league shit...
however, with all that said, seadogs showed up to play and wanted it more throughout the 60 minutes.
Heres hoping the eagles come out flying in game 7.

Eagles came out for the 3rd in a tie game and were outworked for most of the period and outshot 11-4 and were outclassed on special teams and the refs calling a mediocre penalty dominates discussion?
That game was presented to us on a silver platter and we let them take it by being outworked in front of the biggest crowd of the year.
Luckily home ice has meant very little and we can hope Belanger bounces back.
Chabot was a force..did he leave the ice? Wow.
Fiore again with a huge performance.
Hard to predict how game 7 will look. Both teams have been so hot and cold that anything is possible.
But not getting that one is rough.

Saint John wanted it more when it counted in the 3rd . The shots were 20-20 and the score was 4-4 after 40 mins.
Our Defence struggled mightily . Ballergeon and Dower outplayed Gosselin , Leveille and even MacIntyre .
Belanger didn't settle down quick enough .
Tired of talking about the Officials .
Tired of talking about Dumont's utter arrogance behind the Bench .
* Game 7 .....Who wants it more ?

Blaming the refs is just an easy way to make an excuse. SJ out skated us. They were flipping the puck and playing the bad c200 ice to their advantage.
That save turcotte made in the third was highway robbery.
Bishop was great with fiore and carozza but ran out of gas in the third .
Great entertainment so far, bring on 7.

No call what bothers me is the refs would not call a hook or a hold for the first 2 periods then they start calling them in the third it's not a hard thing to be cunsistent with your calls lack of cunsistentcy is what makes a horrible ref
