See that Martin Laperriere is not returning to the Quebec Rempats. Long time head coach and assistant coach in the Q, primarily looks after the defence. Possible replacement for Izzard? Last thing Dumont wants is someone who is more qualified than he is on his staff . The Pepsi Guy more or less said they were not in a position to split the GM and Coaching Duties ....$$$$$$$.....so I highly doubt they will shell out the necessary $$$$$$$ to bring a guy like him in . Drink Coke ....... Good coach, but who needs a qualified coach that seems to be good around young players when you have Marc-Andre Dumont!!!!!!

I will be moving to Halifax and gladly support the Mooseheads while leaving this organization in the dust. Even if I was staying around I would not give this team one more second of support.

Unfortunate but true. Mr. Cote said they were not in a position ($$$) to have dual positions and the same nickel and dime approach will prevail with the assistant coach hire, take the cheapest they can find. If this group of owners do not have the resources or will not spend the resources to put a competitive team on the ice, time to get out of the hockey business.

If we start a gofundme page, is Jack Bauer willing to apply for the position?

If we start a gofundme page, is Jack Bauer willing to apply for the position? Based on the results here the last 3 years it would be hard to do much worse.

Jack, I'm certainly not defending Dumont but unfortunately we have seen worse in the not very recent past!
We the fans deserved at least an admission about the many concerns involving deals made and not made, the goaltending situation, the play of the defense and the fact that far too many good players were turned off and moved in the past three years. Instead we got rhetoric about what a great season it was!

Instead we got rhetoric about what a great season it was! Yep and that's the biggest disaster of all. An open and honest piece about the rebuild, where it went wrong, and how we're going to fix it moving forward is all fans here really wanted. Something that proved that coaching, management, and ownership were seeing the same flaws that we were in terms of the systems the teams were playing which helped lead to the god awful goaltending we had through the rebuild up to the point where we acquired Belanger when we turned our goaltending into simply being adequate. Decisions that led to players wanting out that should have been a part of our core such as Darcy. Established players and why they regressed(Looking at you, Leveille). Why we were unable to overcome a depleted and what should have been over matched Saint John team. Instead we get some kind of sales job as if we're in line as MacLeod Lorway to get a new insurance policy and didn't do any price checking elsewhere. Until this organization wants to compete with the other 17 teams instead of itself this is as good as it's going to get. Unless you want to convince this fan base that another rebuild will lead to even more NHL draft picks and highly touted players but at that time we will do things correctly. From what I've heard sponsors are starting to jump ship and some fans have decided not to renew tickets. And this rebuild is not even at its 1st entry draft. We're going to become a team to watch for all the wrong reasons.

Having a give away of some sort is the norm from what I recall. Maybe not a WJHC trip but usually 2 or 3 smaller things if I remember correctly.

I believe a couple of years ago, they gave away a trip for two to Montreal, friends of mine won it. Not a big deal really, they probably got the airline tickets donated, same for the hockey tickets and the hotel rooms. Probably the only thing the team would be on the hook for is the 500 spending money. Nice gesture but probably not a big cost to the team
