Andrei Svechnikov signed with Muskegeon in the USHL (about a 45 minute drive from Evgeni in Grand Rapids). I would imagine he is doing this to get acclimatized to North America before making the move to the CHL. Hopefully we get a shot to draft him in 2017 given our pick will likely be high. Apparently he is much more a Student than Big Brother . I was told by someone close to the European Kids that NCAA is something that this kid is really intrigued by .

I don't like Fournier on the second line, and maybe trade for a goalie with some Q experience to challenge the younger Jessiman and Dubuc if they start to slip

Isn't Bertrand a 20 ? .....and I would Trade Leveille and keep MacIntyre . Loik has too many issues and Duncan may not be as talented but he gives you what he's got 99% of the time .

Be shocked if he's back with Halifax . I think he, Shewfelt and Watt are the three '96s going into the Mooseheads' camp. I'd expect Russell to make some trades and/or signings but Sorrentino has a reasonable shot of remaining with Halifax.

He could have a shot at making their team, they are rebuilding and could be a veteran presence in the crease to mentor a rookie next season

They might make some moves for overage help but I doubt they bring in three players so he's probably there to start the year.

With Hoyt's wheels and Fiore's shot, that top line could still be pretty lethal. I'd like to see them pick someone up to push Boucher to the third line, and that's a scary under-experienced D corps, but they'd be a fun watch. Side note - Lots of people have been shitting on Loik, but I'm a believer that he was largely miscast. Put him with Duncan or Tobie, a stay at home guy on the second pair, and he looks a lot better. Not sure he was a top D on this team, and not sure Olivier was the right partner.
