Just the fighting and on ice stuff there will likely be over 100 games in suspension, when you add in what was said, it could be a lot higher... Considering the circumstances (if true) I doubt the fights will be penalized as they normally would. How do you suspend Strudnicka considering the circumstances? Especially if the refs employed by the AUS were made aware and did nothing. Fights are usually only 1 game suspension, what will bite is the guys leaving the bench and continue to engage, it's like there were 3 different brawls within one.

The part that SHOULD clarify things a lot is the statements from the linesmen and refs, they usually hear all the chirping first hand and would know what was said, more so the linesmen.

Yes, especially where St FX is claiming they spoke to the ref about it a few minutes earlier ... that should be easy enough to prove or disprove.

You’d also think that’s where Stfx claims this has happened before that they would have filed a compliant with the AUS

You can’t not penalize the players involved in this by the book just because something was said that severely crossed a line. If they don’t suspend these players by, at the very least the rule book they have in place then they’re opening up a whole new can of worms. The player in question that made the comments should get an indefinite suspension until a full investigation can be performed and everyone else should get their 2-3 game suspensions or whatever they would normally get by the rule book, including Studnicka. Players don’t get free passes to do whatever they want, regardless of what horrible things were said to them. If the refs were made aware, they can’t do anything without actually hearing it take place. At that point it’s just hear say and something they need to monitor, now if the league finds out that the refs were made aware of this and actually heard something being said, then all the refs are screwed for not taking control of the situation.

I agree with this, you can punish the antagonist extra but you can't give the victim a free pass for fighting or whatever...

Which is what I think will probably happen, the Acadia player if this proves to be true, will likely get a much longer suspension but that doesn’t mean the other players are off the hook for their actions.

I assume the guys leaving the bench to fight would get a lot more than just for fighting. Also, there are second fights in one stoppage that are more than the 1st one. I expect around 120-150 total games with both teams, coaches etc.

suspensions are out...actually really lenient i think...wont affect the playoffs except for maybe 2 players....there should be some subsequent suspensions...but if this is it then Phil Currie showed his gutlessness and didnt address the real issue here...around 40 games in total 17 players and coaches!!
