I don’t know what to expect with this thread but thought why not try this and in this crazy time maybe we can come together more. So here’s what I’m thinking we say hi and all’s good, or hey guy and girls I got COVID-19. Or I’m good but family member, brother, sister, mom, dad whatever has it. Or I’m on 14 day lockdown with no Symptoms. And hopefully we don’t have any of those positive people here but if we do maybe this can help those with it in some way. How I don’t know just getting everyone together as one hopefully.
I will start by hi y’all, my family are all well and just doing the quarantine thing. I however and some extended family are still work and are considered essential workers. We all are being very careful and vigilant to keep ourselves safe along with others.
Stay safe! Statsman.

There's less than 200 people with COVID-19 in Atlantic Canada in a population of ~2.5 million. The chances of someone on here being infected are extremely unlikely.
We just need to hope that community spread does not start to occur.

Basically on my 2nd week of self isolation. But no symptoms.
I'm working from home but since my wife is deemed essential I'm isolating in case she's bringing it home. But no family or friends have had as much as a cold so what we're doing does seem to be working.
Most friends and co-workers are in the same situation as me with a spouse or themselves working in an essential industry and doing the isolating thing due to that.

I traveled to Houston Tx and returned home on March 13, so I am on day 13 of self-isolation with no symptoms. My wife is also self-isolating since she can't really stay away from me, I am that damn sexy. I work from home year round so it is so far just a minor inconvenience for me, and my wife is able to work from home also as her office has closed. No symptoms for either of us.
Now my job takes me all over Atlantic Canada and I currently have three tasks that I need to do in HRM, that will take pretty much a full day. So if I want to head to Halifax on Monday, I'd have to self-isolate in NS for 14 days first, then do my work in HRM if possible, and then head home, self-isolating for another 14 days when I return to NB. So 29 days to do one day of work. I'll be staying put in NB until the travel restrictions are relaxed.

Curious as to how do you isolate from your wife in the same home ?

Now that we live in a rather remote area in Northern Quebec, there are no cases nearby yet but it is just a matter of time. My office closed this week on the order of the Premier and I now work from home for the foreseeable future. We have been doing the self-isolation for the last 2 weeks with minimal contact with the outside world.

If I can figure out how to pull that off though i'll be sure to fill you all in on the secret

Working from home, which I love, but not under these circumstances. Getting shack happy after only 2 weeks. Virus seems so unreal, not something that I thought I would see in my lifetime but maybe I just wasn't paying attention. Nurse friend told me not to even go thru a drive thru let alone go into a store. I did a couple of online groceries orders where they bring it to you car which works good. I am going through sports detox and currently living off NFL free agency and NFL mock drafts. Go Eagles. I hope you are all safe and you and your Families are well. Take care everyone.

A friend of mine text this to me this week. I laughed and wrote back YUP! But then I thought about it later and was like wait what if option B was your mother in-law?

If I can figure out how to pull that off though i'll be sure to fill you all in on the secret The only recommendations I saw were either one stays in a hotel, or you sleep in separate rooms. But if you stay in a hotel for 2 weeks you are looking at a bill in excess of $1500 + meals, and if I own the hotel I don't want you there. In these uncertain times of wondering if you are going to have a job or an income now or in the near future, spending that kind of money seems reckless. My wife and I simply made the decision that if I bring it home then she'll get it also and we'll go through it all together. Our kids are grown and moved out so its just us here now. We could both try to live on different floors, but that is almost impossible and very ineffective. Still no symptoms on my last day of self-quarentine.
