Have they even reported on whether he was married, divorced, has kids etc? Who else works in his practice etc? Very little has been said about this since the initial rumors that circled social media unverified. My guess is there is deep privacy concerns around this issue right now for a long list of reasons.

Two of the people he killed were his ex and her boyfriend. I'm not sure who they are on the list. I heard he had a daughter and she was not talking to him, not sure if she was one of the people killed or if she was on his hit list. as I said a few days back, not that you expect this type of spree, but he was a guy that had a lot of disputes with a lot of people.

So the RCMP found her at 7am according to the article , now did she alert them to the fact that he may have been impersonating an RCMP officer right then? If the RCMP was aware of this possibility at the time then they have some huge explaining to do.

HRM Cops are lighting up The Emergency Response Network Today .......Proper . There’s no way they won’t light it up for any even potential threat after the backlash the RCMP faced over this past week. I have no issues with it, they should use all resources available but I’m already seeing people complaining over the fact they used it even though it was nothing situations. They’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

With regards to the alerts they are a great idea but they have to be used correctly.
In early April the province of NS decided to use the system to "remind" people we were in a Covid-19 emergency and we should social distance and avoid unnecessary travel. <<<--- a static situation widely known and not an actual emergency.
Please keep it for threats. Like amber alerts, warnings of physical threats to our safety like was used in the Hammonds Plains false alarm. Especially if they know there are dead people (like they knew very early last Saturday and announced on Twitter).
The worst thing would be people tuning them out. Like the boy who cries wolf. Which will only happen if it used for frivolous announcements that are FYI alerts instead of real emergencies.

One aspect of this whole thing that seems to have slipped through the cracks here is the guns themselves. That’s part of this whole thing that could be a bigger deal and might be worth keeping an eye on. Just something I heard.

I'm quite uncomfortable with that article and what will come from it. I'm not saying its wrong, but it suggests that the common-law spouse went through abuse with him for 16 years, and was afraid he'd kill her, as were so many others. I 100% understand why so many abused women stay where they are and don't get away from the abuser, but there are so many in this world that don't understand that. The RCMP seemed powerless to act against him when complaints were made. This is going to blow up on social media and many will be blaming the conmon-law spouse for not acting against this guy. Let me make it clear that I am not blaming her ... but I see it coming. I read an article out of one of the Toronto papers that had a woman that he went to UNB with, talking about him. Apparently he was ridiculed and bullied at UNB for his entire time there. That likely contributed greatly the person he became.

There are times where I would say that she was exaggerating, but she seemed quite detailed in her description of events and his actions. I have a hard time to believe the weapons claims, if a part makes a complaint about illegal weapons for somebody with no certificate, it would be very easy to get a warrant.

I don't think you can get a warrant because some angry person says "this guy has illegal weapons". The standard has to be higher than that to justify a warrant. Now if they guy threatened the other fellow with say a sawed-off shotgun, illegal, then sure. They investigate the threat and can get a warrant because a crime was alleged.
