Covid has now hit the phillies so that nixes the "just a marlins problem". Have to also remember that the virus can take a few days to show positives. Jays games on the weekend in jeopardy.

It all started with one guy going out to the bar. Might have been more than 1. Story isnt confirmed yet. Just goes to show you how flimsy their plan is. When you have this many people involved you are going to have selfish people on every team, including those who aren't listening to the science or just dont give a shit. Not having a bubble just makes it even more difficult to monitor player behaviour. 1 week in and 2 teams likely won't be playing this weekend.

If your plan doesn't have a way to account for a couple of players misbehaving then your plan sucks. Do you think it is a good plan to have teams travelling around a country filled with Corunavirus all to play on front of zero fans?

In all seriousness, MLB knew there weren't going to be fans at games so why they didn't have bubble cities set up is beyond me for each region where the virus isn't ravaging.

Not really, my plan would have had 6 bubble cities with limited travel.

We are already seeing a lot of players in the NFL opting out for this year.
Last I heard NCAA football was at least considering waiting for spring but that may have changed.

This is idiotic. Why blame MLB when you have a union that is 100% involved in every decision? This has a spoiled rich brat feel to it.

This is such a trainwreck of a season You make it sound like one it was a normal season in the first place. You also seem surprised that this wasn’t going to be the out come. A part of me deep inside did want the Jays to play at home this year, but Man I’m happy the Feds made the right decision and it not the other level of government.
