One year 8 mil Taylor Hall to buffalo Never saw that coming Apparently nobody in the Hockey World did .........mainly because he said "A Chance to Win was his #1 Priority"....apparently $$$$$$ was pretyy important also ....the thinking must be.... play with Eichel ...have a Huge Season ....then cash in ...knowing that Buffalo has no choice but to keep Eichel Happy . 1 year deal doesn’t surprise me but thought he’d go to a team with a legit shot under that scenario Oh well

Crickets? Joe Thornton signs with the Leafs and we get crickets? Where the leaf fans at I’m interested to hear what they think of turning their bottom six and back end to a bunch of old players

I read somewhere that the Blues are looking to file a complaint for tampering because Vegas management made comments in the media about pursuing Pietrangelo. Gonna look for the article.

You hope he come in for a final push to his career and provides some leadership, size and chips in a bit for a talent and youth heavy forward group. Spezza was good for them last year for what he played. Old guys, 1 year deals. Bogosian, Simmonds... again inexpensive, depth, character/grit additions. 30-32 years old, 1 year. They got Muzzin, important guy for them, and Brodie locked up for 4 years. I think they’re 30-31. Pretty good I’d say considering the cap situation for them and the league this year. They added some of what they need, have to wait and see on the results.

I read somewhere that the Blues are looking to file a complaint for tampering because Vegas management made comments in the media about pursuing Pietrangelo. Gonna look for the article. we all know tampering happens. It happens with agents behind the scenes but the real question is if the VGK did say nice things about Pietrangelo directly through the media did those comments sway the Pietrangelo camp into considering VGK more than the Blues? And second did those comments cause other teams to either enter or drop out of the competition? In 1990 maybe it's easier to make that case. But in 2020 we already know/suspect what teams may be interested. Everyone knows the salary situations. If a team like VGK or blues wanted to leak something of advantage to insiders (we know every team does) it will get reported and source is off the record. The NHL just let's it happen. It's not like Pietrangelo deal was done at 12 noon on the market opening. So Blues case is weak. I cant see how alleged tampering gave VGK an advantage. It took 3 days to finish that deal.

Don't Spezza and Thornton bring the Same Kinda Things to the Table ? With Thortnton Spezza and Simmonds, the Leafs might win the 2010 Stanley Cup.

The cheap guys at the bottom are fine, Toronto's lack of success recently is mostly(IMO) related to having too many one way guys at the top plus the middle of their lineup is one of the weakest in the NHL if you look at forwards 5 to 9 and D- men from 2 to 5.
