The depth of this year's team is amazing, Perry/Armia-JKK-Toffoli are the 3rd line and they have combined for 10-11-21 in 7 games so far(21 combined). Romanov has looked very good with Kulak on the 3rd pair and Allen is 2-0.
So far, all of MB's adds have seemed to fit in their role, Anderson(4-1-5 in 7GP), Toffoli(6-3-9 in 7 GP), Perry(1-1-2 in 2 games), Edmundson(steady on D plus went after Myers), Romanov(showed skill and physicality) and Allen(solid in nets) all without removing any top regulars from 19-20.

Well the First Regulation Loss came from a Flames Team that was playing with a sense of desperation after a Players Only Meeting . A real Goaltenders Duel as Jake Allen did play very well , just a little better though was Jacob Markstrom but as the Old Saying goes , you will never win any games if you don't score any goals . On the Good News Front , Josh Anderson left the Game with Flu Like Symptoms but tested Negative for Covid 19 . JKK doesn't seem to be any worse off from the Dube Hit . Romanov continues to impress and his physicality at Age 20 is pretty impressive as he didn't shy away from Lucic in front of the Net . Just a couple of Positives to take out of the Game .

I would rather trade him for a pick and accumulate cap room. They can use Ouellet and Fleury as spare parts.

Bennett has a 2.55M cap hit so that would make it harder, plus he hasn't been very productive with 13pts in 59 games this year and last.

I get why he doesn’t like it and wants out, but from the team perspective, he is a quality, low cost option who can step in once injuries inevitably hit.

Not saying he doesn't get moved eventually, but I wouldn't be in a rush - if he ends up drawing in for an injury in the near future and playing every day the rest of the season, this could all blow over.

Mete and Romanov are definitely too aggressive to play together, it was likely just for one game to either A-get Mete some reps or B-showcase him for a trade. Kulak has played a like a veteran all year helping Romanov. I wouldn't be surprised if Romanov misses a game in the coming week, overall he's played well but he's made a few bigger gaffes the last 3 games. Skipping a game would give him a breather.
