10.5 games out already not sure what potential you are seeing in the pitching the potential is there for the bats to come alive but they did downgrade there i agree they look like what last years team was expected to be Houck likely gets better, Eovaldi has been good, Wacha has been good, Pivetta was awful but may be returning to form, Whitlock is getting a look as a SP and he may force them to keep him there. And eventually Chris Sale will rejoin the team. Bullpen generally sucks. But I don't think they've seen the best of what the rotation can be yet.

The bullpen was doing well until Houck and Crawford could not go to Toronto and they started Whitlock leaving them short 2 pretty good arms out of the pen. The rotation in general has been good even without Sale. If the offense was scoring, i think the pitching would be more than fine, always being down 2-1 or 1-0 midway in games means the same guys pitch often and under stress and eventually it breaks.

RS are now in a playoff spot a month after being 10-19...now an 18-8 stretch with the starting pitching and offense carrying the day.

The guy breaks down more than a 25 year old Cavalier.

Hopefully we get him back soon, though pitching has been getting along fine without him.

Apparently he was shut down with a medical scare about 7 weeks ago.
