Red Sox can't hit period...... aside from Bogaerts and Devers but yeah Jays pitching so far looks especially solid.... Berrios/Gausman/Manoah is a very nice top of the rotation ... 4 and 5 spots are still a bit up in the air, looks like Kiguchi will be servicable to fill one of them ... and Stripling has been holding the fort so far, hopefully at some point Ryu can either get right or Pearson can get healthy and emerge ... Bullpen has been solid.

Mile High ......Coors Field Product ? i don't follow the game close enough anymore to worry about that stuff it's pretty evident tho that a middle infielder was not prime area of concern but hey we are a huge market team that wants to operate like a small market team now so whatever

We always see ball players who won't get hot until the weather warms up a bit. I don't think too many conclusions should ever be drawn from April baseball.

Bullpen has been solid. Gausman looks like a bulldog so far. Super competitive and brings an edge with him every start I find. If he can keep that intensity over the rest of the season he'll have a shot at 20 wins. Loving that pickup so far. Manoah is on another level right now. I go out of my way to watch him pitch now. These guys are feeding off each other. That big 3 should make for a great potential playoff rotation.

The key in April is to stay within reach, especially with a short spring. Nobody wins anything in April, but you can lose it if you fall too far back.

Also, how about the play of Santiago Espinal?!
Chapman Bichette Espinal Vladdy
Makes for a solid infield.

He needs to work more on having his feet properly planted before he throws to first. Saying so, he has the jump to cover good ground to get to the balls.

As a SS you have to make a lot of throws on the move, 2B and 3B usually you have more of a chance to plant, SS a lot of times is throwing while moving towards or away from 1B.

I wonder if they take a run at getting Simmons from CHC mid summer and move Bo the 2nd base. similar Offensive output to Espinal but a significant upgrade for the team at SS.

Orelvis Martinez is waiting in the wings , he may end up being the SS down the road but Bo is gonna get better ....a lot better I believe .

Also, how about the play of Santiago Espinal?! Chapman Bichette Espinal Vladdy Makes for a solid infield. I'm really starting to sour on Chapman at the plate. He seems to just go up swinging for HR's every at bat no matter what the situation is As an infielder he's great. But I'm spoiled by the discipline some of those younger guys show at the plate.

But I think his throwing woes are just a sign of his limitations. He'd be a much better 2B I think. He really has a tough time playing a consistent SS.
