On the flip side Harris and Evans are close to returning. They have to stop winning! Haha #Fantilliwatch It's got more downside than upside right now barring a collapse. They are 6 points ahead of Anaheim with 11 games left, but only 2 behind Phillie for 6th(12 games left) and 3 behind Arizona for 7th. They could easily be picking 8th overall with a few wins and no lottery luck. 26th place odds: 1st-6.5% 2nd-6.9% 7th-44.4% 8th-36.5% 9th-5.6% So basically 80.9% of drafting 7th or 8th. If they can stay at 5th... 1st-8.5% 2nd-8.8% 5th-24.5% 6th-44.2% 7th-13.9% 17.3% of 1st or 2nd 86.1% chance of top 6.

Nice to see RHP pick up a hatty last night and Belzile picking up a goal to give him 13pts in 27gp.
RHP now has 12 goals and 17pts in 29gp.
Definitely taking advantage of his opportunity.

With some young guys coming in(Farrell Roy & Kidney) plus the Laval kids doing pretty good(Ylonen and Pinard), I can't see them re-signing Drouin or Gurianov. Monahan either. I would try and shop Anderson, Evans and Hoffman(poss retain $) this summer to create cap room as well as roster room. Caufield(RFA) Suzuki Anderson Dach Dvorak Hoffman Armia Evans Pitlick Gallagher Slafkovsky Gurianov(RFA) Ylonen(RFA) Pinard(RFA) Pezzetta(RFA) Drouin Tierny Belzile Byron Monahan are UFA's.

Some on here doubted his acquisition, but Matheson has been a great add for the Habs.
8-20-28- in 39 games and a +7 on a team that is -59 overall is quite impressive.
Dach, Matheson & 4th 2023 cost:
Romanov Poehling Petry 3rd 2022 and 4th 2022.
Those two additions were wins for Hughes, the Slafkovsky pick we will need 3-4 years to make a definitive call on vs Cooley, Wright or one of the D.

Ekblad and Letang both miss stretches of time every year... not like he wouldnt have had chances anyhow wonder if/when Farrell gets in
