Always great to beat TML after an 0-7-1 preseason. Caufield has maintained the momentum from preseason. Young D had some mistakes but held up with Allen making some big saves.
The success or failure of this season will be at least partially determined by how Monahan Dach and Guhle look, all 3 had good first games. Kovacevic looked good for a 1st game, good size and skills for a waiver pick up.
I'm sure there will be dark periods, probably a few of them...

Monahan impressed me alot actually..... i had pretty much given up on him after his last couple years but he looked like a legit top 6 option
Dadonov however looked the exact opposite

Slafkovsky would be better served in the AHL than 10 min per game. They have a lot of forwards that need minutes, either because they are growing(Suzuki Caufield Dach), rebounding(Gallagher Monahan Armia) or will be trade bait(Drouin Dadonov Monahan Hoffman?).

The Canadiens assigned defenseman Logan Mailloux to the OHL's London Knights on Thursday.

That really sucks. The young D held up pretty good in the opening game, but icing 4 young guys is not sustainable over 2 months. Hopefully Edmundson can get up to speed quickly.

Only early, but been liking the line of;
Hoffman-Monahan-Dach
As we seen last year, the chemistry between Caufield and Suzuki is so fun to watch.
Caufield get to 50G this season?
Can't wait for tonight's game on TSN Vs Detroit.
Wonder who the 21yr old, Xhekaj, will punish tonight....

Not surprised they signed him, he looked very good in last year's playoffs and at the rookie tournament, did not look out of place in exhibitions. With Fairbrother out for the year, might open up a spot for him.

I see that Mesar is in their lineup for Laval tonight....is that their plan or can we see him in Major Jr this year?
Simoneau and Mysak also in the lineup

Just noticed that rookie Dman, Guhle, led all Habs in ice time vs Toronto.
Impressive.
I'm a big fan of his. With the poise he has, I truly believe he will become a star in this league.

Another strong game from Guhle tonight. Led the team in ice time again with over 24mins.. Also picked up 2A. The kid is just 20.
