Have to add this somewhere but it was hard not to wonder who that Repcik playing for Slovakia was vs the one we seen in the Q. I thought he was one of their better players vs Canada in the QF and was a reason they had a chance to win. I dont think it should shock anyone if Charlottetown has a solid 60 point 2 way player next year. Imagine if that Rule wasn't in place for The Euro's and the AHL ? Maybe Nemec from Slovakia and Kulich for Chechia might be playing here ? I mean Simon might throw a few bucks their way lol

He’s had a history of being a big time player for Slovakia at events though.. maybe it translate and maybe it doesn’t but he definitely seems to get up and player better when he’s playing for his country.

Repcik showed glimpses of being very good in CB I think. To me, he is clearly a guy who plays the occasion. I think he thrives as an agitator in front of big crowds. There is an edge to his game when there is more on the line, and sadly he has been playing for teams who have nothing on the line since the moment he set down in the Q.
These types of players are why I am always cautious about reading too much into brief tournaments like the WJC. You get a lot of guys playing hero hockey and the games are less structured than club hockey. It makes some guys look better than they are, and some guys worse.
That said, he was good enough at the WJC that if I was Quebec I'd be intrigued. Free Euro spot and the guy clearly loves big games and big crowds. Could be a good bottom 6 player on a contender. Are there rules around how often a Euro can be traded?

Since Bathurst acquired Tourigny at last years deadline, the DRU 2nd has moved from Bathurst to BLB, BLB back to Bathurst (for Biggar), Bathurst to CB (Belgarde/Perron deal), now back to Bathurst for their 2nd. And Biggar has moved from Bathurst to BLB to CB.
Sly has basically figured out a way of trading with himself at this point.

Town Hall coming up though so we all get to hear the logic of why they view themselves as now being in such a good position moving forward. Problem with all these is if anyone has actually been paying attention...a decade of these things means its just different people saying the same things and the only reality being that there's absolutely no accountability when things go wrong. John Hanna is on our radio telling our radio announcer our kids need to show Pride. If this organization had any pride people like John Hanna wouldn't still be employed here. How many losing teams do you need to be a part of as a coach and manager before its decided that at minimum you're not a part of any viable solution?

I always find it kind of darkly funny when I hear Hanna and Shaw criticize the culture of the club, implicitly or explicitly. It's like, we have huge staff turnover in the last 4 years, and those two are the only ones who have been around the whole time.
They are basically saying they themselves are the problem without realizing it. They have chopped and changed enough that they've left themselves as the only ones to blame.

Eagles acquire Nolan Fowler, currently playing with the U-18 Valley Wildcats.
I only remember this name because he once had a 7 goal, 9 point game in Bantam.

^^ Eagles billet families be like "what was your name again?". If this season was anything to go by then just a quick tip to other Eagles' fans don't get attached to any of the players the rest of the season they might be gone by the Draft in June.
