That's my point, Cote averages less then 10 mins a night and was a healthy scratch vs Bathurst. We are pushing the limit of the youth vs development curve, I personally believe it's key to getting maximum long term gain.
Anyway, my development model differs I guess...I can see a case for both options, maybe the fact that it's done, my glass remains half full...I am too positive sometimes.

Thats not necessarily a bad thing! I think there's lots of room within the roster for growth but also don't think its all that different if a couple of vets were swapped out with younger players. In the games i've seen so far the youth is what has stood out as the biggest positive. I just know that no matter the talent we're seeing....until some wins come its going to be tough to see how its all going to come together. We've seen too many talented kids pass through here and not be able to give our fans success, and it certainly isn't the players faults.

It's not do-or-die time for us yet. Are we 100% confident in this? I'm not. Every loss right now is another step towards it. I can't be the only one completely stunned with this "#1 pick and renewed hope with a new GM and new marketing" already looking like another complete let down. There isn't 1 even little bit of buzz about this team. I'm no longer confident that just winning games sees people return. I think Bathurst is what we're following and the minute after a playoff run the apathy is going to set right back in. With nothing being done to try and change that momentum. Within the next 90 days I fully expect the people of CBRM to be put on blast by Gerard Shaw for not showing up once first half ticket numbers are there for all to see. I'm speaking strictly in terms of where we are at in our cycle, on the ice. We could afford to take a Euro with a view to long-term development because we aren't going to challenge this year. We don't need to roll the dice on an instant impact Euro. Off the ice, I am too far from Sydney to have my finger on the pulse but it makes me sad to hear it's so dire that you might call it do-or-die. I try to stay out of the business discussions on here because A) I'm not a season ticket holder and don't know what is going on, and B) it all seems pretty depressing, hahah.

Either of our ways could benefit if done right. It's not ideal to have young guys playing less 10 mins a night, we agree there. A rebuilding team can make room for young talent is my view.

With the dust settling from a busy Monday for Sly, the team now sits with 12F after the Repcik departure. Who's next in line to slide in , Cameron Henderson (17) is off to a solid start in Jr. A with the Valley Wildcats. Callum Aucoin (16) has 20 pts in 11 games for the Halifax Mac's.
With Desruisseaux leaving for U17 camp in November, we will like see both of these guys in the line-up at some point.

I don't see many teams coming for Buteau at Christmas, he is only 18 and not nearly good enough yet to make a huge impact on a contender. I would like to see us hang on to him and hope his value grows.

#LHJMQ

Well it obviously was not the plan to ship him out this early if we gave him an A. Obviously Goyens/Sly see where this is heading and intend to shake up the room fast.

Agree, Cape needed a 20 on the back end now that Bergeron is gone for the season, more then they needed Gravel playing on the 3rd line. The Gravel trade now looks like...Jonah MacDonald (17) , 4th 2023, 5th 2025 for Charles Savoie (19) + 12th-2023. Canning is now back in Jr. A.
Injuries continue for the Eagles, Patterson missed the last 2 games of the road trip, maybe sick?
