SLy put this up on board at the townhall , but I thought I would post it here to give us an idea of what next year could look like and if this coming trade period is one where we see some 2023-2024 holes filled.
Patterson - Boutin(20) - Squires Desruisseaux - Houde- Sheilds Henderson - Fullerton - Aucoin EURO - 2023 1st - J. MacDonald - Griffen - Davis - 2023 2nd
Shortall(20) - Lavoie Buteau - Daigle Waugh - Arnold Euro - Desjardins - Carbonneau - 2023 2nd
Satny(20) - Ruccia - Cloutier - Farrah - 2023 2nd
Adding 2 pieces up front, which one of them could be a EURO - 18 year old and a good 19 year old, would push everyone down a line, thus strengthening our 4th line. I really like Boutin and of our 19's he would be my pick to come back as a 20.
On the back end is where we need a bit of help while the youngsters continue to develop. Langlois is a possible 20 over Shortall, but I really hope he is moved. Shortall would be the ideal 20, leadership at it's finest and will play his ass off every night.
Should be some good competition with our prospects to make the roster.

Not Eagles related anymore and I know he didn’t show a lot once he came here but Savoie has 22 points in 28 games this season. Sometimes things never work out on certain teams but he’s seem to have found his stride this season.

I elaborated and put my own spin on it.

is it too early for a Euro draft list ?? There's no such thing as a Euro draft list unfortunately, your best bet on some of the guys that might get drafted at the import draft this year are the ones that played on their nation's U-17 or U-18 team.

I wonder if Rouyn-Noranda would have any interest in acquiring Jérémy Langlois he'd more than likely be a 1.5 year player for them and they have some 06's that would probably interest the Eagles.

I think the 3 most likely spots for Langlois are RN, Victo or Drummondville. He has some serious upside and although he is not playing his best hockey with the Eagles right now, maybe in a system that allows him to play a little more free he would flourish. I am really hoping for both sides that he gets moved and spends the next 1.5 years with a contender.

Cape gave up a 2nd RD, 35th overall pick from this past draft to get Bergeron. Gatineau drafted a 6'3 goalie , Zach Pelletier with that pick.
I say we just take the goalie and be done with it.

JF Plante mentions Bergeron might be headed to Quebec.

You really can't just analyze those deals as 1 off's though. The new GM was doing an overhaul and moving vets in and out. You're always going to win some and lose some when thats how you do business. With hindsight the deal you're reviewing was always likely going to look like picking another prospect would be the way to go. But it could have also been a situation where Bergeron comes over and plays his way into a top 4 role and commands a 1st and 3rd as a year and a half player for a contender. I admit to knowing nothing about why Bergeron left so if it was anything the team did it would be news to me. Tough to hang the kid having no passion on our GM. I'm sure both CB and Gatineau would have rathered know that so they could move him somewhere he may have wanted to play. But like I said...pure speculation on all fronts from me on that. There's also the possibility Pelletier retires with a Q GAA of 5 and we moved the right pick, too

JF Plante mentions Bergeron might be headed to Quebec. It would make sense for everyone for us to move him for a draft pick like a 3rd rounder. Gatineau gets off the hook and would not owe us anything. We have something to show for the pick we lost. Quebec or whoever gets a veteran defenceman at a slight discount. The kid gets to play and I assume be a lot happier closer to home.
