Such a canadian attitude Should be proud of losing Guess we shouldn't be proud of the Islanders for their loss to the Armada a few years back or proud of them making the finals last year. Great day today. Some exciting matchups that saw Cameroon and Serbia tie 3-3, Ghana beat Korea 3-2, and Brazil winning a close one against Switzerland. Portugal and Uruguay playing now, no doubt that'll be another fun one.

It’s too hard for me to view the games, too many leagues and no allegiance to any one team so it’s hard to get into the EPL, Serie A, Liga or Bundesliga. The great thing is though, you don’t have to follow it closely to truly appreciate the skill, strategy and tactical nature of the sport. It always feels like they’re just one play away from something magical happening, the fans are arguably the best in the world out of any sport and the passion is evident when they’re cheering on their country or representing it. You don’t need to score goals to enjoy the sport or have an exciting game, there’s a reason it’s the most popular sport in the world. If people can’t see and appreciate the game for all it brings, then that’s on them but there’s really no reason for the constant blatant trolling that’s going on though.

The reason its the most popular game in the world is anyone can play it. Its inexpensive to play. Its outdoors in any country. (Random yard anywhere). It doesnt need cold facilities or special indoor setting to play. Its not overtly dangerous. No tackling like American football or rugby. Its also simple to understand. A goal is worth 1 point. You stop the ball at your end and try to score the other end. It helps to be fast and athletic at some positions. It's very agreeable. A few years ago I saw some Canadian military on a visit to Cuba playing it with local kids on the streets. It's the one sport the world can agree on.

Ultimately you wake up everyday and get to decide if you want to add more negativity to or positivity to the world, or simply not comment on something you don't enjoy but others do. Theres really no need for additional trolling or negativity really, got enough of that on every other social media.

0-3 finish but they competed really well. Still a lot of work that needs to be done for our program in Canada, but definitely a ton of positives to look at as we build it up here.
Two tight games and one that just slipped away to a rightfully motivated Croatia.
Hopefully the States and Mexico do well with the rest of the tournament, it would make for a nice middle finger to the other countries that really look down on the North American teams.
Scratch that, Mexico is out.

Back and forth battles between Japan, Spain, Germany, and Costa Rica for the top two spots in their group. Barring a miracle, Costa Rica is out with a 4-2 loss (currently) to Germany. Japan is holding on 2-1 vs Spain.
Germany needs Spain to tie it. Wild finale to that group.

How wild would it have been for both Germany and Spain to be eliminated in that group?

South Korea took a bite out of Uruguay's World Cup dreams...couldn't resist.
It's made for some exciting group stage finales. Three countries fighting for the last spot in Group G. Brazil is already through to the round of 16. Should be a great battle between Switzerland, Cameroon, and Serbia.

Switzerland and Brazil move on for the final two spots. There were actually almost brawls in the Swiss/Serbia game.

The 1st Quarter Final is heading to Extra Time as Brasil and Croatia are scoreless after Regulation Time . I am sure Bois is on pins and needles watching this Classic .

I really hope Croatia pulls off the upset. I can't stand Brazil. For a sport known for diving, they really stand out for their dives.
Well this game got interesting. Come on Croatia!

What a game. Both teams scoring in extra time is always a cool thing to see.
What a clinic by Croatia on the penalties too. I hope team Spain and even Alphonso Davis were watching from home taking notes.
