Looks like they've taken "Heave Away" as their goal song. Don't know how I feel about that, but if it gets the crowd going then it's a good thing I guess. Loud there last night.

There might be some creative counting going on there. I bought tickets the night prior and there were thousands of seats available. And there is no way there was more than 6,500 in the building at the game.

The last game I was at was the first game after Covid last year and there were 5500 people there... which looked correct. It's a little different at the Thunderbird games when the lower bowl sides are half empty all the time. But yah not surprised. For 9200, the upper bowl middle would need to be filled all the way to the top, and the upper bowl sides would need to be filled about half way up.

Posted this in the Lacrosse forum but I'll put it here for sliderz. They're onto something. This is from the 9200 crowd Friday night. If you zoom into the upper bowls on the sides, you see empty seats in the middle and almost all the way down the sides of the upper bowl. That's a 7200 person crowd tops. Events usually don't count the skyboxes in the attendances. If they did, and the skyboxes were full, add 600. The upper bowl has the same price structure all the way up, so it's not like there's going to be a bunch more people where you can't see them. 7200 is an ok crowd (for now) with no promotions. I don't know why they have to inflate the numbers.

I know they count tickets sold and not the turnstile but there were so many not sold prior to the game, they have to be adding 2k just to inflate the attendance. The Mooseheads attendance vs seats available online seem to be accurate although there seems to be a 1k no show crowd per game. Probably due to purchasing season packages for World Junior.

Just looking at the seat availability for Friday night and there are tons left in the Lower Bowl and Upper Bowl. If they report 9k for attendance at this game, then you know they are completely making up numbers. Right now there might be 4,500 to 5k sold.

Probably in the thousands each game. There's also a deal with Sicilian that if you spend $50 there before taxes you get two free tickets to Friday's game. That's a pretty decent deal.

Domaint game against a undefeated team, we look unstoppable when at our best. Attendance was solid but could be better. I ended up going on the $9.02 upper bowl tickets they had going on from 6-8 last night. I feel like we could have had a pretty full upperbowl if this was advertised more. I always hear from people that their interested in going but aren't willing to pay the extra price on a regular basis. For this league our attendance is very solid but ik Halifax has the capabilitys to get a couple thousand more in there and make the nest bumping.

I wish they'd advertise that before the last minute, I bought tix in the upper bowl Wed but then saw the promo Thursday guess it's good to wait till the last minute. I always have fun been to a number now, but can't invest in both the Mooseheads/Thunderbirds for season tickets.

I had heard when they relocated here that they required 7,500 at advertised prices for a breakeven. If they are selling a large number at heavily discounted prices or comps (pizza offer), I'm not sure they would be able to hit that target. I hope they do well and enjoy the games but it makes me wonder what the financial stability is. If you discount or give away too many tickets, you end up devaluating your product and nobody will pay face value. This is what happened to the pro Basketball teams that rolled through here. Your walk up base starts to think "Why would I pay face value when I know I'll be able to grab some for free or close to it?"

Why would I commit to a season ticket at full pop if I can just grab freebies as the season goes along?

If I had to guess I'd say the flash sale is specifically designed to get people that wouldn't be going to the game, to go to the game. It will never be a thing to have $9 tickets on sale a week before the game.
Covid derailed a very good opening season for the Thunderbirds. The Moose were horrible that year and it allowed the Thunderbirds to step in and get some fans to the games early. Might be a bit more difficult for the Thunderbirds to get fans in the seats when the Moose are getting 8500+ to weekend games and a lot of fans spent money on world junior packages. I think the Thunderbirds are doing a great job marketing and it's only a matter of time before they get consistent good crowds.

5-5.Teams better than the record shows but they can't close out games when they need too. We're gonna make the playoffs do the a weak conference outside of the top 3.But if we want to actually compete in them or see any home playoff games they need to pick it up now. Attendance averages about 8200 so far. Puts us fourth in the NLL. Probably inflated but every team outside of Calgary,Buffalo and Colorado do the same. So it doesn't really affect were we sit in Attendance throughout the league. I think the NLL does it on purpose.Realistically I think we average around 7k.
