Hidden at the bottom of a recent Kevin Barrett article, Lacroix says "We have not been seeing results, but I don't have to push the team to work harder. I don't have to push them to be committed."
The Head Coach literally admitting he doesn't have to push the team to be better. What a strange thing to say knowing it will go public.

Related to all this - does anyone know why the Cats are the only team in the league with just two coaches on the bench? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure every other team that has come through always has three.

You could almost interpret that as he's begging Irving to fire him!

I was talking at work to an ex-wildcats player , and we were talking about coaching the other day and he mentioned that 1 of the assistant coaches sits in the irving box and talks to lacroix through a headset . He found it funny , because most other teams have the assistants on the bench and have other staff in the stands .

If this was truly about winning and putting the best product on the ice for the fans then a move would've been made.

Does Ritchie even watch these games? Back to Back years watching the same thing. Different players, Same problems He does. He also needs sign off from above to make a coaching change. I wonder if they put out some feelers and the interest wasn’t reciprocated from any potential new coaches? I can’t think of many reasonable explanations for why Lacroix continues to be employed. In junior it's a hard move to make midseason, much easier after the season.

I'm sure the replacement options are much easier in the off-season. But in recent history we've fired John Torchetti in December (With a 24-9 Record no less) and Darren Rumble in January so it's not like it can't be done.

I’m sure it is but it’s not like it never happens. Cats have made in-season coaching changes five times if memory serves me correct. Some of those resulted in the assistant coach taking over and at this point I would not be opposed to that at all. It couldn’t possibly get any worse.

Torchetti was a different situation, was for an off ice incident. If you look throughout the league, 90% of coaching changes are in the off season.

Well there was already 2 coaching changes this season so even if every other team fired their coaches this off-season it would still be below 90%.

I hear they will be signing Lacroix to a lifetime extension in a ceremony at centre ice tomorrow.
Sure would be nice if they can follow that up with another W tomorrow. Been a while since we've seen one at home against Halifax.
