My Son got thru for me and was able to get 2 tickets but it wasn't an easy process. And here we go with Ticketmaster, $12.50 fee per ticket and another $4.00 charge for the transaction itself. So $29.00 in fees. Looks like the prices they showed were including the processing fees. So it looks like the tickets are gone, but I am guessing the are not selling sections to allow other people to get tickets when they go on sale to the general public.

Generally speaking ticketmaster creates artificial demand by only releasing so many tickets at a time, driving up opportunities for resellers (where they double dip and make money twice on the same ticket). It's a horrendous anti consumer practice. If people think there's less tickets available they will rush to buy a ticket, or worse overpay for a reseller ticket months before an event because they aren't aware additional "regular prices" tickets will become available.

I got an email with a code from the Scotiabank centre and said I could get up to 4 tickets. I just wanted my two season ticket seats I have. Frustrating system and I got nothing. Must have seen the message (Sorry another fan beat you to these tickets) message 200 hundred times.

Yep, I logged on about 8 minutes before they went for sale, and got in to select tix couple minutes after 11. It seemed that some sections or portions of sections were blocked out, and I think that also included the upper/upper bowl. So I'd say in response to you is it's your fault for not logging on sooner to get in the queue to be able to get the tickets. I know the process wasn't easy, but still take some accountability instead of blaming the Mooseheads. They have NOTHING to do with ticket sales to a pre-season NHL game bud. And there is already a thread in the off topics section where this should be, it has nothing to do with the Mooseheads.

Cool as it may look from the outside. Save you money for a trip to watch a real regular season game and make a weekend out of it in a place where you pick the opponents.
Pittsburgh and Ottawa preseason. Sure Crosby and Batherson will play but is that really worth $150 (for good seat). Exhibition game with two teams only maybe the ardent Pens/Sens fans care.
If you are a fan of any other team this is way below even the WJC that was just here. Is a letdown all around for a Halifax hockey fan. IMO

You can attend NHL Playoff games for less than that. I paid a lot less when I went to the Leafs/Sens game in Halifax a few years ago. The Crosby jump is real.

I was also hearing that it wasn't just Moosehead's STH that got a code. There was a bunch of other folk's including the Pittsburgh Penguins STH which is a little strange to me.

I only got through once, Section 31 Row O, I declined to take them, now looking back I should have, what a ridiculous system. Booking a night of fun shouldn’t be so hard.
Lower Bowl tickets are going to be flying off the shelves right as they go on sale at 11.

You can see it right on ticketmaster Mooseheads Season Ticketholder Penguins Season Ticket Holder Penguins Partner Tim Hortons Irving Oil These types of codes help them move tickets early as there's an "exclusivity" that makes the event feel more important. I definitely wouldn't pay those prices for preseason, but I'm sure there's families who could never save up flights for 4 people to Ottawa or other cities plus hotels who this will end up appealing to rather than the hardcore hockey fan who would rather see a moose playoff game or world juniors any day.

I only blame the Mooseheads as they ultimately made the switch over to Ticket Master from a system that wasn’t broken I am sure it was a corporate decision to do so it’s disappointing as the old system was fantastic and Glen and staff were a pleasure to deal with we as fans have been spoiled now changes are coming for better or worse .

So you'd be paying hotel+airfare and paying for everything in American dollars so losing almost 30%. Not realistic as an option for 99.9% of people. That Leafs/Sens game was in 06....almost 20 years ago now. That was a 2 pack with Bruins/Isles tickets included as well if I remember correctly as Glen Murray was playing. Or was there another since? Compared to 2006, it's a lot. Compared to what that stuff costs now...I don't think it is. I have no intention on paying it. That 2006 experience with the pre-season was enough for me. But none of those prices will even get me inside some arenas in Canada for a regular season game so international travel as the comparison kind of puts it in perspective on why anything around $100-$125 or so is going to be an easy sell.

The Mooseheads didn't. The arena they lease did. The tenant has no choice in the matter. Be happy you have any option to buy tickets. The 1200 or so Eagle season ticket holders are getting no ticket rights for the pre-season game in Sydney.

It doesn't really have anything to do with the Mooseheads. Ticketmaster signed the deal with the arena.
