Defenseman David Savard will be out indefinitely with an upper-body injury.
The Canadiens have recalled defenseman Gustav Lindström from the Laval Rocket on an emergency basis.

He probably won't be anywhere close to that pace but I think he can be a force at the AHL level, no real rush to get him to NHL, he only turned 20 in August.

Also, how can anyone not like Wi-Fi?
Only two points in 7 games played, but that will pick up.
He's 6′4″....240 lbs of pure nasty.
Here is his his fight last night after taking a hit that he didn't like..

Time to start becoming legit concerned about slafkovsky? Fair Question ...........maybe just a Little Early yet but by the Quarter Poll if he doesn't pick things it will be Front and Center with the Montreal Media . It looks like it wasn't a great year to have that 1st Overall Pick because nobody in that Class is separating themselves from the rest of the group . Logan Cooley has 5 points for Arizona and Former Eagles Draft Pick Jiri Kulich is averaging over a point a game for Buffalo's AHL Team in Rochester .

Send Slaf down to Laval for a bit just so he can get his confidence and offensive game going.
It did wonders for Pacioretty and that was at his request if I recall correctly back at the start of the 2009-2010 season.
Going back even further, in fact a lot further, it helped out John Leclair as he absolutely dominated the short time he played in Fredericton- I actually got to watch that for a few games before he was recalled back to the big team.

Even more recent examples - Leon Draisaitl and Mikko Rantenen were both sent down during their 19 year old seasons and it worked out well for both of them.
Let Slaf go down and get some points and build his confidence.

Two Brief Visits to Laval didn't hurt Cole Caulfield ..........Why they are not doing it with Slaf is beyond me ...........the only thing I can think of is that he was a 1st Overall Pick which might be clouding their thinking .

Agree that a stint in Laval would likely (who really knows for sure) be in his best interest ... but it is not as though they have kept him in Montreal doing nothing for a prolonged period of time - he has played 9 games, receiving regular ice ... whether they send him down now, five games ago, or in a month, will not make a material difference. I know last year they felt that there were certain elements they wanted him to work on that they felt could best be worked on at the NHL level, and that going down may cause him to revert to bad habits that work against lesser competition.

At the end of the day, you have to treat each player's develop as it's own project. I think it started when they drafted him, they gave him #20 and introduced him as a member of the team, now their egos prevent them from making correct decisions.
