I'll give them credit for coming up with something new and unique. Never seen anything like that before But I can only see it really mattering for the xmas holidays game vs Halifax on 12/30. We seem to regularly be in the 1800's so 1200 extra is a big jump...we had it for opening night this year and have a high of 2244 otherwise. Its a promotion that may not see itself happen for the rest of this season. Do they think people are on ticketmaster and not going to games because only 1800 tickets are sold? It would have been interesting to hear the thought process as you'd think the goal would be to offer some enhancement to those already attending. Now commit to something like this longterm and win people back and you start to develop your own tradition around it so looking down the road I think it can become an interesting part of Eagles hockey culture. But when the attendance digits start with a 1 its hard to get excited for them hitting 3 very much.

My only hope is that Someone at the Eagles offices contacted Jeremy Fraser at least 12-18 hours beforehand

I'm happy to see initiative from the marketing office that hasnt been shown in years past.
Fan engagement with the actual players involved I think is important, I've been a fan of the kind of silly videos as of late because it shows the players in a different light than just on the ice. Showing some Personality will garner interest and help people cheer for the players on the ice instead of just the team as a whole.
Making a reason to come buy a ticket, other than just seeing a game makes you feel like you got a bit more of your money's worth if the game winds up being a flop.
I do however wish they would have someone to proofread these statements as seeing things like "Brand Embassador" in your nice new letterhead kind of ruins the feel.

I like the idea overall, I would make it $3000 total, but have 4 draws of $500 scattered throughout the game and $1000 draw mid way through the 3rd period, build some energy in the building throughout the game.
Getting 3000 fans in 90% of the Q markets is near impossible, it won't be easy for the Cape to make this promo fly.

Interesting, how many season tickets holders are there in CB.

I really like the idea too - anytime you can reward fans for showing up it will get more people out eventually.

If you are trying to attract new fans to the game, I don't think you can pull funds from this promo to thank those who are loyal, they still have an equal chance to win. With that said, something can and should be done to show some love to those who have committed to the season, I would keep the 2 separate. Just me.

They're saying they're close to 3000 for tomorrow night. Must be a promotion of some sort to get a bigger than normal crowd out i'm guessing.

Friday is the annual CBU night at the Nest so that is the reason for the bigger crowd. Good timing with the announcement though as it is just before a game night that they might get over 3,000.

Perfect. Would be nice to see 2-3 of these over the course of a season. Always adds to the atmosphere.

2999 fans committed I hear, Jack Bauer in attendance will tip the scale and bring the $3000 Cash prize into play!
Eagles win 4-2 empty netter. All is good in the world
