The boys face one of their Quebec rivals Rouyn Noranda whom are contenders this season and then a really solid Val D’or team.
Rouyn beat the Moose last year in a shootout in which was a very frustrated game at the end when Cataford and Vidicek lost the puck to the snow on their attempts.
It’s likely the Rousseaus meet up and hopefully it’s a tight game!
Meanwhile Val Dor has had a good start to the season as well with 20 year old William Blackburn in the pipes.
Theirs rumours speculating that Jordan Dumais will be arriving Friday, that does not mean he’s going to play this weekend. But would be awesome to see him again!
Go Moose Go!

Busy weekend for me working both Fri/Sat before the game
Fri Halifax 6 vs Rouyn 3(wouldn't be shocked if it's closer) Sat Halifax 5 vs Val'dor 2, Moose have to play their game and hit the boys, especially Fri night with Rouyn playing in Cha tonight and don't take any stupid penalties.
Would be nice if the rumours are true but we'll see, we also play Moncton at home next Wed maybe if the rumours are true he'll be in the lineup that game.

Blackburn actually hasn't played a game yet this season as I believe they are awaiting a trade partner for him. Val-d'Or currently carrying 4 20s with Turgeon, Gaudio and Doucet in the lineup and Blackburn sitting in favor of Beaunoyer and Lussier.

I’m not sure if he’s still injured or not but that’s why I don’t think he’s played a game yet.

I guess I forgot to check the stat numbers for the goalies. I just saw him on their roster and thought he was a #1 not knowing who the other guys are, looking at their numbers now both goalies played 4 and 5 games and have a save percentage over .900, pretty impressive start!

To be 4hrs from game time, and there not be an official release from either Columbus or the Mooseheads announcing Dumais' return, seems unlikely.

That would be awesome!?! I guess it could be a mistake but it would be a silly one… Edit: found it. I don’t think it is a mistake? I mean I would have thought they wanted to put either 10 or 12 instead but cataford and Fournier are mentioned as well. So how would they confuse it? An MacPhee (21) is also listed!!!
