But they did what they set out to do and won the Mem Cup. Back door or not that was the goal so to say it’s not right for the fans isn’t true. They won the fans are happy with the win. People here (One who you was the person your responded to) still bring up Halifax not doing enough to win in 2019. We lost then and Still ate Sh1+ the next season. Here’s the thing about Jr hockey. The max a player can play in the league is 5 years but the average is only 3 seasons. The train and develop your own players doesn’t really work. The turn around is just to quick. Except the most successful franchises still do follow that model, drafting and developing their own players. Sure there's always going to be big pieces added here and there but the core needs to come internally. It also helps to be a big market team that can find players. Just to put some context here SJ had 10 players on their Mem Cup winning team that they drafted and brought up, Quebec had 15. Halifax had 17 drafted players and lost. So by your theory shouldn’t Halifax have won? To me that tells me they didn’t do enough.

Also we've been over this, a lot of the ones they traded for they traded for early, like Boulduc and Rochette.

My point was it was only 5 players more than SJ, when SJ did the same with Francis and grabbed Dufour at the draft. I will add those 15 are not all actually contributor's but on the roster. I stand by this is a bad take on your part.

Yea, it's still a banner in their rafters but... it's the outlier of outliers.

Man oh man do the Moose look bad tonight unless they can turn it around in the third it might be a 2 game losing streak ! Well as I said in another post, take out our top 4-5 and we are a below average team. So tonight an average team is stopping our top 4-5 players and nothing happens. We have one of the worst depth forward team of the league. Still, I like this team, but I can’t wait to see them fall in the CHL standing because they are not even close to being that team in reality and being top 10 or even top 15 is where they should be.

Frustrating game to watch, CB is playing well and outworking the Moose. Never want to lose but also good they get a wake up call now and then.

I think we need like the NFL Red Zone. You can tune in when the Dumais line comes out but other than that it is not worth watching.

Jordan Dumais limped off the ice and came back, I would say it’s safe to say we’re getting exposed a little bit, not playing horrible by any means but our key pieces aren’t performing.
Had to lose eventually. Refresh for the next one..!
Also our CHL Top 1 ranking is def in jeopardy which is sad but, we’ll still be top 10.

Ponzetto over petzshce , on 3rd line is poor coaching , even over moser and Fontaine he’s like a baby deer on ice , I’m sorry but it is what it is !!

Unpopular opinon:
This doesn't have anything to do with key pieces not performing or our team only consisting of one line. This has to do with attitude. I am talking from experience when I played competitive hockey myself. You go in with the attitude "that'll be an easy win" and then all of a sudden it's not - you're back one, then two goals. You loose composure as a player, start forcing plays and using a 'brute-force' rather than a 'methodical' approach. You throw every little thing you learned in practice out of the window. Nothing works. The end result is a miserable game.

It’s about time that this debacle happen. This team is good and good enough to love and be a proud fan, but not even close to what will be needed in April to make a good run. I am not sure that we have what it takes to win in a first playoff round against CB or Isle. An injury to Dumais, Vidicek or Rousseau would close the discussion.

Ponzetto is looking like a big miss by our scouts
