Hearing there’s a trade done for a 17 yo forward. Don’t know much more details other than it’s not a big name. Regardless of which way CB goes, adding more depth will likely be important. If they sell (which we doubt), you need younger guys to develop into roles. If they buy, you need backfill for the players that you trade. It looks like Lavalee has been added to the CB lineup going forward (he technically can't be more than AP until Sunday, but at 4 games played, he is eligible to play any games until then, so the league likely is allowing the deal early because it has no real impact. Begin is not with the team assuming that the Q site roster is correct.

I don’t see him play much but I feel Jordan Tourigny out of shawinigan should be a high target for us ? 18 right shot PP guy - assuming he can be that QB guy we need for next 2 1/2 years ?
I know price tag would be high but this would be someone I’d be okay with overpaying for ? Maybe I’m wrong

Maybe I’m wrong Here’s the thing, you’re not wrong but if he is on the market he would be the 2nd most sought after defender on the market. I want to be clear that he’s only second to Luneau, who is already rumoured to be traded. Every other team would make an offer for Tourigny. All I’m saying is it would be a bidding war.

Anybody even want to guess what Luneau cost ?

Yeah you have to do a double take when things just don't make any sense. This one confuses the hell out of me. Solid group of 17yr old D with 1 that projects as among the top in the league when he's 19 in Lavoie. A 17yr old goaltender looking excellent and very possibly could be among the top in the league when he's 19 in Milota. And a good start on a forward group including some skill and I think some leadership in the Ricard/Shields/Pilling three he listed. But then he says "It'd be nice if they could all stay together. SO KEEP THEM TOGETHER. All 7 of these guys are in the lineup or signed to deals. This isn't wishing Simon Nemec would report. These guys are here. 2 are the same ago and could be the top player in their league at their position and we're going to purposely break it all up to win with a group where not 1 player is considered the best in the league at their positiom. This stuff coming out of them all lately is simple fascinating for how different they're all taking. Imagine being a player and reading the owner saying no future being mortgaged, maybe a pick or 2, but certainly not from a direction of win or else. While the GM continues to say we're winning or else and going to spend many assets over the next 12-13 months to take 2 runs while trading the future the GM "wishes he could keep together" yet all he has to do to keep it together is DO NOTHING.

It was mentioned on the French board last night that a D from Val Dor will be traded to the Eagles. Presumably Cibulka after the tournament.

If this does materialize it will be interesting to see the price. I would assume they believe he would be back as a 20 and take a Euro and 20 spot. I would think he would cost in the area of what they received for Langlois. I was never a fan of the Langlois trade and if this trade happens and Cibulka does not return as a 20, then the cost of replacing the Langlois trade looks even worse.

If Cibulka was 18, I could absolutely see the fit. And the price would be worth it.
But as a 19yr old, on a .500 team? Yup, has Cape Breton written all over it!! Lol

If Cibulka doesn't return as a 20 it's just another disaster asset waste. At least he isn't drafted currently, but I'm sure some team takes a flyer on him as an OA this draft so that's a bit of a moot point.

I had heard Drapeau name for trade. Either way I see both coming back as OA. Don’t think either guy would be able to make that jump. Cibulka included

Cibulka is arguably the best euro on the market, can't see him going for too cheap. However, he is definitely an offensive threat and would run the powerplay. Still a bit interesting to see CB target a player like that though from the middle of the standings. BUT if he returns next year that could be pretty big.
