A lot of what Simon said Today he has said before but I believe this is the 1st Time where he publicly stated that he wants C200 . Huge mistake by CBRM if they let it go for a 1 time influx of cash. The downside for the government is massive in that if the new owner doesn't do the proper maintenance and upkeep and eventually walks away from it the government would be left to inherit a potential disaster. You just want to insure that the Building's Manager keeps his job !

They kept ownership of it, put the run to the useless building manager and contracted out the day-to-day management to OVG360

Signed, The place who also has a useless building manager...with the media quotes to prove it.

You just want to insure that the Building's Manager keeps his job ! The fact CBRM hasn't seen a reason to replace him as he admits he really doesn't know how to do the job properly is just a walking joke around this place. But he didn't know how to run the hockey team either and for some reason he's constantly allowed to fail forwards in this business community.

It's almost like he is a Made Man protected by the Mob . The only thing I have seen that he does well .............is show up wherever and whenever there is a Camera or Media Presence on Site .

You couldn't have wrote a better scrip then Jacob Newcombe doing what he did tonight on Hockey Fights Cancer Night . The tribute to the Young Girl from Glace Bay ....Jillian Snow started the night and it just rolled perfectly after that . Would have been nice for Milota to get his Shutout though .

Can’t name a single time it has worked out in favour of the public.

Taken from the Sea Dogs Board
Saint John Sea Dogs head coach Travis Crickard was released from the Cape Breton Regional Hospital early Sunday after he collapsed Saturday during a QMJHL game against the Cape Breton Eagles.
The news followed a frightening situation 54 seconds into the third period of the contest when officials and medical personnel were summoned to the Saint John bench for a medical emergency.
Article content The Sea Dogs players immediately left the area to clear space as Crickard was treated behind the bench for approximately 15 minutes.
He was taken to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital shortly after that and team officials confirmed that Crickard was conscious when he was transported and alert and talking after he arrived. His vital signs were good.
He was later released, according to a report from the Cape Breton Post at 1:38 a.m.
The Eagles led the game 6-0 at the time of the incident and the contest was called and considered a final at that point.
Crickard, the 37-year-old native of St. John’s NL, is nearing the end of his second season as head coach with the Sea Dogs after serving as an assistant coach during the 2021-22 QMJHL season, which culminated with the 2022 Memorial Cup title.
Crickard and Dwyer were members of the coaching staff for the Canadian Under 18 national team that won the world championship in 2021.
Earlier this year, he was an assistant coach for Team Canada at the World Youth Olympics in South Korea.
The Sea Dogs were playing the second of two games in Sydney on the weekend and will play five of their final six games at home, beginning Thursday against Acadie-Bathurst at TD Station.

Not sure how to upload the tweet like this one, but also saw Will Murphy won Defenseman of the month in The MHL for March. Short month with about five games per team but he had seven points in four games. Not a bad way to finish the regular season for a 16 year old.

You've got to think with the number of returning D, plus our amount of high end prospects that at least 1-2 will be moved this summer. Moving Desjardins towards the Cibulka trade at Christmas would have eased this situation a bit.

If you watch these guys play all the time and the play of Houde and Newcombe especially , will Cibulka be here next year ? Being Double Hatted and remembering the price that Sly paid for Schmidt ......I don't see it . He does preach Defence wins Championships .....but Boutin who was here but was let go in favour of who ? ( Shortall I am guessing ) is a Top 10 Q Scorer and Gatineau's Top Gun . Now ask yourself Boutin at 19 or Houde at 19 ( Houde had 3 more goals and 9 more points then him last year at 18 ) , who is better ? Houde can put the puck in the net and that is not as easy to find as it use to be .

Houde can put the puck in the net and that is not as easy to find as it use to be . They will probably need the scoring up front more than the D. Even if they don't have Cibulka, a defense with Lavoie, Schmitt, Daigle, Desjardins, Murphy is a pretty good group. That would allow them to keep Newcombe and Houde up front where scoring will be needed. Of course, Ruccia is a 20 next year as well. Tough choices to make for sure. That's a conversation for the offseason though. Right now, I am starting to think the best first round matchup for the Eagles is the Wildcats. Not that I want them to finish 6th instead of higher up, but aside from that brutal opening weekend, they have played Moncton tough and the Wildcats haven't been dominant lately. Chicoutimi is one of the hottest teams in the league for the past two months or so and would be a tough matchup in round one. Ideally, they would win out and somehow steal third overall to avoid BC in the first two rounds, but if that's not going to happen they might prefer to play Moncton as opposed to Chi in round one.
