Unreal road game, this team is showing up and putting in work every night, love to see it. Squires is on a whole nother level right now. I'm in Halifax and STH with Moose but I picked up on this month's ago. Cape Breton seems like as a team they have more fun and pull together well. Very knit team. I started pointing out in February ahead of the long winning streak how well placed they were. The money I save on Moose playoff tickets now goes into webcasts. It's very entertaining and I wish more of the sour fans from other team in the province would take notice. Lining up to face Chicoutimi next and the larger ice there in the Saguenay. Also another 2-3-2 format. Stay focused. This is very interesting and a delight to watch a team play that intense. Gotta cut penalties down should be coaching focus.

Regardless of what happens tonight, or the rest of the playoffs, the bar has been raised from what it previously was. The team on the ice and behind the bench has made adjustments and improvements, and in turn, the fans have shown up and have gotten loud. The first two home games have shown an organic connection now in the entire building. Where ever we go now from here, I hope the fans (former and current) who have been desperately making it known they want something to cheer for, got it. Holding up our end of the bargain as the fifth line will help support the team through this playoff run and hopefully continued success for the next couple seasons. That winning streak was almost like starting the playoffs in round 2 in terms of fan attention. Under almost any other year you'd coast in and that first weekend was almost like a quiet transition to playoff season but this year we kind of eliminated that and thanks to the circumstances of being away for 2 weeks that opening weekend kind of felt like we were already generating organic attention which the marketing folks should be proud of as their overall efforts have made a connection that didn't exist before this season.

We were so desperate that they didn't even win the series and we are already over the moon.
I, like many others, am just glad they came together. They had a great Defence and goaltending in the first half (top 3) but simply could not score (bottom 3 I believe). Well, thankfully they turned on the offence in the second half without having to sell the farm.
The atmosphere at the rink that other night was incredible. It felt like we rewound the clock by about 20 years.
Also, sorry for being that guy but can we keep away from speculation about the next round until and if the team pulls out the series win? No team has won or lost a series yet.

You're bang on the money about the offensive being dreadful in the first half, they were bottom 2 I believe, averaging just above 2 goals/game for months. The teams always been strong defensively and in goal, so it's nice to see the offense figured it out. The rink was booming for games one and two, felt like the the early 2000s again.

Seriously tho....I do hear you but speculation is kind of a part of being a fan at the same time. With 4 3-0 series on our side of the playoffs, speculation is just going to happen. But the games are decided on the ice, but by fate being tempted on a message board of anonymous fans who see like a 95% probability staring them in the face and naturally discuss the high probability.

He is definitely moving out there like a guy on a mission.

Eagles having a rough go of it tonight seems like those bounces we were getting aren't happening this game.

12 minutes left here to try and get something going, I can't say I expected this series to end in 4 games anyway. Would have been nice but you knew Rimouski would take a game, especially at their rink.

Looks like both teams having alot of issues with the ice tonight. Pucks are bouncing everywhere, and I've seen multiple players fall right in front of Rimouski penalty box.

4-3 Final, great third period and I think with a few less Puck bounces, and a couple less powerplays given Rimouski could have been lining up for the handshakes right now.
I don't particularly think Oceanic got lucky per say, but they played more to what they are capable of. Alot of collapsing in front of their net took away the 40+ shot attempts the Eagles have been finding success with until the third.
Onward to Friday! Let's close this out

Looks like the Eagles will be the lone team in the eastern conference to play a game 5 as Chicoutimi sweeps Moncton.

I think this has been mentioned in here before, but what's the deal with Rimouski hosting the Memorial Cup next year? Are they getting a new building or are they planning to play in their current arena?
Watching the webcast tonight the place looks like an old barn. Metal gates and steps in the middle of the benches, old school opposite side benches? What criteria did they meet that we couldn't?
I know our building isn't new by any means, and there's a fair bit of lipstick on our pig, but come on. It looks like a much more capable and presentable building than the Coliseé.
